I have signed the petition. It's unfair to lose our liberties! You have my support from San Jose.

Does this qualify? Shouldn't it be the surrounding community? It seems that would have more weight than a forum with names of people from across the country correct? That's what I would do I would go door to door to get support and even ask any small businesses in the area.
If it helps you you got my support I help the hobby anyway possible and good luck.

Guys,
I know this is not strictly jet related, but I need the help from my jet buddies.
Our club in the San Francisco Bay Area is being evicted by the Parks Department. As you can imagine, being California, the Parks Department is broke, but they can find 8 million dollars to create a swamp to save the red legged frog or something like it. What we are trying is to let us keep our site and coexist with any development they might want to do. There are examples all over the country that show this is feasible, like Markham Park and Santa Clara (Tomcats)
In order to achieve this, we were adviced by AMA to try to create as much community support as possible
So here is where we need your help: please follow this link and sign the petition to the parks department to not evict us.

Your support is appreciated even if you are not from the Bay Area. This could be happening at your field...
Thanks a lot for your support, and please spread the petition around. Put it in your facebook page and send it to your club's mailing list.

Asking for help from people throughout the country will do your cause absolutely no good. You will require support from people living within your LOCAL community. Yet, even with that, you will still most likely lose. The "RCU community" or "R/C hobby community" does not fall within what your City Counsel would consider "community." Your idea of "community" and their concept of "community" are completely different. In this case, it is their concept of "community" that will prevail.
Go with the frogs... it could be your best defense to keep your field.

Signed from Ohio.
As a suggestion get some community work going such as Boy Scout or Wild life involvement. It will strengthen your position.

Now that you have explained the circumstance I won't side with your side of the issue. A swampland is just that and is not intended to be an attraction for humans. If you club owned the land and were being evicted at the convience of the county than that would be another issue.
