Banana Hobby's large foam warbirds
Has anyone else seen or bought one of these large foam war birds from Banana Hobby?
I purchased one of the Camo colored A-1 Skyraiders that has a 63" WS and comes with main and tail wheel all electric retracts, power operated fuse dive brakes, motor, 70 amp speed control that already has the deans connector installed, scale flying four bladed prop and hub assembly, scale looking wheels and main gear strut doors.
It took about five hours to assemble and set the radio up. Waiting on the 3300ma 4S 20C batteries to arrive so I can fly it.
The cost was $189.00 + shipping.
The videos of their war birds flying are impressive so I thought I would give them a try. They even have larger all foam aircraft in the giant scale range including a 79" Corsair with power operating folding wings and nav lights with all the gear doors! Course these cost more.
Any way anyone else tried one of these? They have all types of aircraft encluding DF jets of diferent sizes. Even Montoya of Nascar fame is seen in one of their adds.
I airbrushed the exhaust smoke and gun powder residue, and plan on really weathering it if flights all go well.
