Default 1/5 scale T28 update

Hello to all, it has been awhile since I last posted anything on the true scale 1/5 T28. I have a lot going on with a few kits going out and honeydoo list is a bit shorter now. I have started this new post for those that may have not been able to find the old one. Hope that's ok. Lenny is still working on the gear at Shindin Machine, so hopefully sometime soon we will have the prototype ready for install and fitting. The other thing that I was not satisfied with on the first prototype, was the canopy, I felt it was more inline with the early A models. A year ago a friend volenteered his CNC to do a canopy plug for me, what a great idea, will a year later and no progress. So a couple of weeks ago I made another male plug and decided to do it the way a couple of guys on rcu showed using "plaster" for both the female mold and the finished plug. If everything goes right, the customers that have been promised canopy frames and new canopies will have them shortly. Anyway here is the process in pics.
Sorry, having a server error when try to download pics.
I'll be back. In the meantime you can go to www.scalercstuff.com for more information on the 1/5 scale T28

Default RE: 1/5 scale T28 update

Sorry those were not in any order.
I hot wired off the excess foam from the bottom of the plug after I had made sure it was going to release ok, the reason for the carbon fiber rods going through the foam was to give a lifting area and to hold the foam at a given height inside the mold so there is plenty of plaster all aroung. These pics show the hotwire and then a bit of fill of plaster in a low area to make sure it sits flat when vacume is applied.
