I would like to remind everyone the FARM Spring Pattern contest will be held May 26th and 27th. The field will be open for practice Friday. Location is the Farm Club as in the past. If you need directions check the D2/NSRCA web page. Trailer and tent camping is allowed on site. No power or water hook-up available. 110 Electric is available for charging for all E-powered planes. Lunch Saturday. All classes flown! Motels and food available near by. Pilots meeting 9:00. Any question or concerns please contact Larry Kauffman (CD) 703-368-1373 or 703-201-6572.
See everyone there! I have some good awards this year, something everyone can use!

RE: FARM Pattern Contest
A quick reminder: The FARM Spring Pattern Contest will be held this coming weekend. Weather looks good but will be warm Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I see no reason why we will not get 6 full rounds in. I'm looking for a good turn out! This is really my first outing since my recent health issue so I am looking forward to seeing everyone!!

RE: FARM Pattern Contest
Donald Lobeda won sportsman flying a .40 ultra stick with a Saito .72. Keep an eye on this young man in the future. By the way AFTER the contest I flew his plane and put a couple of mixes in (throttle to elevator on down lines and rudder to oppostite aileron). How he could fly this plane and fly it that well with no mixes and no expo and JUST enough power for a clean loop- using pure thumbs- against traditional pattern model designs was truly astonishing. It reminded me of Dave Brown in the day (someone will have to re-tell the story of him flying a high trainer in a spectacular manner during a contest in the '70s in front of some skeptical judges). Would make Ron Van Putte proud.
P.S., I saw him flying one of Chris' new 110 size monolog's after the contest... watch out. http://www.f3aunlimited.com/webstore...roducts_id=533
