RE: Aquacraft Revolt 30
There was some concern with the "less then photogentic' look of the cowl, Grim has given us word that it's much more eye appealing in person. This goes the same with the MC as the pics on the website do that boat no justice. AQ and Hobbico as a whole need a re-vamp of the photrgraphy and video making skills and division. There video's look very out of date, and pics are bad angles and don't "jump off the page". I know a rc addict/professional photographer who would glady solve those issues rather quickly. JMHO
Here's Grim's motivation for the boatl:

RE: Aquacraft Revolt 30
Some of the key features of the boat:
The power behind the Revolt 30 is the ever trusty Aquacraft 60amp esc that has some of the smoothest throttle response of a spec esc. Also it is equipped with the AQ 6pole-1800kv motor which is possibly one of the best spec motors on the market and matched with the GrimRacer 42x55 this boat is going to be a rocket out of the box.
The business end of the boat puts a huge smile on racers and experinced boaters featuring a strut, trim tabs, offset rudder and 42x55 which really allows for serious tuning. Out of the box I'm sure each boat is trimmed more beginner friendly to welcome new boaters and give them a chance to grow and work on setting up a FE boat, w/o needing to put extra money into hop-ups asap.

RE: Aquacraft Revolt 30
I have a Motley Crew, and am considering my next boat. Torn between this, the PB Impulse 31, or buying a hull with hardware and adding my own electronics. This looks like a very nice boat. I just don't think much of the strength, or rather lack of, in the MC's hull. Seems pretty flimsy in places.

RE: Aquacraft Revolt 30
If your looking for a mono in this size range, the Pursuit 32 is a GREAT option. The OSE or Kintec version comes with better running gear then the HK version.

RE: Aquacraft Revolt 30
Those look like just what I am looking for. A better quality, " professional" quality boat with good electronics. I could just buy another reciever for my radio that I use for the Motley then right? To use the same radio on both models I mean. The Kintec even comes with a servo. I use the Traxxas water proof servo out of my Summit for the MC, so I have one of those as well as I upgraded my Summit to a single Hitec.

RE: Aquacraft Revolt 30
Yup you sure can by another tactic rx and bind both rx's to it and use just the one radio. Here's how to waterproof those tactic rxs: http://kintecracing.com/Electrical.html the first product and below is a video by your truly on how to waterproof it. Jan also sells tactic rxs http://kintecracing.com/Radio_s_Receiver_s.html just scroll down to you see the tactic radio and in the dropbox there is a option for rx only for $25.
Here's mine to give you a idea on how this thing runs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Az0zIeJiZJA

RE: Aquacraft Revolt 30
Agreed, this is indeed going to be a awesome running boat. I honeslty won't be getting it anytime soon, but it looks amazing. My rc funds have been reduced so I've been flying more. Cheaper to keep planes and helis in the air then to keep a fast boat on the water.

Amazing price with tower super saver codes. $240 shipped, that's amazing.
For the price and what's under the hood, this could turn into a PB Impulse 31 Killer... Should be interesting..

I get 33 mph out of the box with mine. I sharpened the stock prop and now get 36 mph. 2s4p 6000mah Turnigy NaNo Tech 45c
VERY nice fiberglass job on the hull very impressive, not at all like the motley crew's fiberglass job
Real nice hardware
Sharp turning radius with the boat

Just to qualify.. I have only ever run this on 4S.. (or P)
I have run it up to 48mph on the props WE sell.. BTY the L45X68 is not to bad on the boat..
....
He is not saying 48mph with the prop he recommended, but he is saying the L45x68 would be a good prop to try with the boat...
Iordered that prop(should be in today)Iwill try to run the boat stock and then with the above prop and see how it does. Might be a day or two depending on weather and free time. Remember, as the prop and speed goes up so does the amp draw and risk you will either blow the ESC or Overheat the motor. Not to mention shorter run times with more amp draw.

RE: Aquacraft Revolt 30
You know how much strut adjustment had to go into play to get a lifter prop to work on a mono. I wonder if that prop was "worked at all". Lifters on mono's just normally ends in cavatation, but grim is a boat guru so who knows. Iwoulnd't try a lift on a mono anytime soon though.... Just me.
