Extreme,
Like Todd of Dreamworks wrote, "Marketing 101....Have a competitive advantage! This is what draws your customers to you business/product."
MARKETING 101 thru MARKETING 505
Rule# 1 - Sex sells!
Rule# 2 - See rule # 1
So, find a few beautiful women in their mid 20's (Miami has thousands of them), put them in bikini's and take pictures of them holding your turbines, as well as standing next to guys who are flying jets with your engine in them.
Your tag line can be, "These girls are fast, but our engines are just a little faster!"
or
Forget the Lamborghini ... These turbines are faster and attract more women!
Then watch at how many of these people flock to you for an engine.

The individual who posted this information on this company joined RCUniverse in March of this year. Since that time this is the only post he has made. He claims to have a combined fixed and rotary wing experience of 51 years. This person has, if true, been in the modeling world quite a long time. The jet community is a small world and if this person is for real others in the community will no who he is. Do your homework before bashing his product.

Hi Xtreme,
First... I'm not going to take sides... but I am a manufacture, and your comments to your potential customers are really bad. Right now, RCU is probably the most active chat board for turbines. So... all you are doing is making yourself look bad... and that "Image" will follow word of mouth very quick. So... you may want to re-think your replies. (just some helpful input)
Secondly... with the birth of KingTech... anyone coming into the market will have to beat their pricing/weight/performance. The "old" crowd can still get the higher prices... but they have proven themselves over years of building engines, and performing service.
As a final comment... you need to check your pricing. I can buy a V10 Kero Xicoy ECU direct from Gasper for 119.00Euro. (That's $147.71 on today's conversion) And the guys are right... why buy the old style valves when you can get the valves from Gasper for $43 retail. (I'm sure you can get 25% to 35% being a manufacture)

I think the guy did the right thing by defending himself against the attacks. He decided to be a man, rather than a girl.

Xtreme: I'm wishing you all the success. I encourage and admire your entrepreneurship! As a consumer, I always like to be given more choice.
It would be better for people with a commercial interest in the RC business to refrain from posting things like marketing advice (even if well intended) in a product announcement thread like this one.

More to the point I did not think that RCU was supposed to be used for puire commercial purposes

With regard to comments in this thread about the OP being a commercail entity.
Here are the RCU riles on the topic.
Non-RCU advertisers may submit one new special R/C related announcement or news thread during any 30 day rolling period. Announcements include only product information or news. No ads, promotions, specials, stock status or the like will be allowed.
Commercial announcements must be made in one forum only and the forum must be applicable to the topic of the commercial announcement thread
Members may reply to these threads and vendors may follow up with answers, support or additional information.
The OP was within these rules.
Manufacturer bashing. While one or two posts got near to my tolerance threshold IMHO no posts were over the line. Comments were made about items with some back up or explanations.
I have consulted with other mods on the content of this thread and will continue to do so.
Personally I wish Xtreme Turbines success in his/her new venture.

Wel...l all I can say is if this engine is similar than the modellbau 750 I will be interested...I've bee running and old 750 from modellbau for about 8 years with only 1 service. Still running it today. In all this time I've seem my friends Jetcats, Rhinos, RTI's going back and forward to service and my "old technology" engine still running strong. Even my p-120 is been in to service twice. So this is a very reliable, worry-free engine...
Best of luck !!!
