Default Losi XXX-S any good for VTA?

I have a chance to get a pretty good deal on one with extra parts. Are these any good? Or pass???

Yes thats my definition. Was also thinking TC3 but want a tough easy car to work on. I dont know anything about tamyia or x ray or ect? any help?
