Default YS 170 regulator

The spacer between the regulator spring and the diaphragm comes in two versions, see picture. Is the one with more chamfering the latest version? Does both versions work OK?

The one without chamfering (left) was supplied with a diaphragm bought separately (spare part).  The 170CDI engine I bought came the one to the right, as did the spare pump I bought.  I will use the one with chamfering, most likely the “latest and greatest” as the chamfering is not incorporated in the injection molding, but done in a subsequent operation.
