I've owned and raced several gas boats over the years but never had a "fun" boat with a clutch till I found this gem on ebay . It's a Warehouse Hobbies (old school) Enforcer 57" well taken care of , one owner purchased new in 2009 . Im in the middle of tuning, it had'nt been run in over a year the carb had a miss in the top end took it apart cleaned it installed new diaphram etc. much better now, so far GPS'd 37mph on flatwater , I think it's got more in it with some more tuning only been to the lake a couple times. I installed my sendec tach so I can compare R.P.M. with different props , I believe this engine should run about 17,000 . It has a RCMK engine & wetpipe i'll keep you guy's posted gonna test a couple different props .

Very nice. The weather is starting to get better here in Iowa, so I'm planning on finally breaking my motor in on Saturday.

Awesome boat. Reminds me of my Magnum57. The cowl is cool with the scoops. RCMK motors are really strong. Built like a tank with the four bearings stock at over 5hp I’m sure there is a lot left to get out of that beauty. The pool noodle in front of the velocity stack may be interfering with carb air flow. Enjoy.

OK so I tested three props so far , you guy's may or may not know this but here are my findings. First the prop the boat came with a warehouse hobbies aluminum 75mm/2 (max speed) 35MPH (max rpm) 14,640. Second a propshop 7015/3 stainless (max speed) 40MPH (max rpm) 15,480. Third ABC 2714/3 (max speed) 38.2 mph (max rpm) 14,400. Now for the characteristics and handling , the strut was set in a neutral position for all tests , the lake had a slight chop just enough for good speed and the rudders slightly raised. The 75/2 aluminum prop had the best (hole shot) from a dead stop nail the throttle and this huge boat jumps on plane in an instant , corners excellent etc. great all around prop. The propshop 7015/3 had alot of cavitation from a stop (like spinning your wheels in a car) , the first time out the boat overreved and shut off , you have to use some throttle control with this prop , after a tank of practice I had it running smoothly and got a solid 5mph faster than the 75/2 . The ABC 2714 had a little less cavitation handled the best of all , I could keep full throttle in the turns without a change in motor rpm , gave up 2mph compared to the 7015/3 but with a little tweaking I think it would run just as fast. So the bottom line if you like to launch the boat from idle to full throttle , stop ,slow down alot etc. stay with the aluminum 75mm/2. If you're a little better at driving and want more top end speed the propshop 7015/3 & ABC 7514/3 are excellent props. The speed and RPM was recorded by Garmin (gecko) GPS & Sendec tachometer.

Is that abc 2714/3 props a 10 or 15 rake?

Where do you purchase propshop props in the states?

I have a new RCMK engine in my boat. Is their an advantage in putting on a velocity stack?

None. It detracts from performance.

Well if this is the ENFORCER thread I am here.

I am rebuilding an Enforcer boat for a buddy. I ordered everything from Toni. I am ne to boats though. The boat is from the early 90's I would say. Yellow in color, and had a homelite engine in it. ( I think) Boat it self in great shape. I am replacing everything else except gas tank. Well I got my iso pad in, new radio box, all electronics good to go etc.. got my drive tube all pre bent, drive cable cut to size and soldered in. Boat has single rudder. I installed a autobailer, and dumby quad exhausts. So so far it look good but no motor in the boat.

Well this new Xforce engine does not mount in the same holes as the old motor did. How do I determine where to mount this engine etc..? How much if any of the drive tube should stick out of the back of the boat? Hope their is a easy way to figure this all out, liek I mentioned drive cable and tube are already cut to length, and tube has already been pre-bent for me. The engine has has the nose mount with the compression coupling on it.

Also any tricks to getting into the boat to drill the 1/4" holes needed for mounting the engine? Pretty tight quarters for a drill. All the help pics, info I can get would be SOOOOO APPRICIATED!!

Thanks
George

Congratulations on your Enforcer boat build. Put everything in the boat where you think it goes and put something round under the hull from side to side and the distance from the transom at which the boat teeter totters and balances perfectly front to rear on the round rod is your CG. Mark your stringers with your desired CG marks. Mount the hardware, put everything inside the boat, tape things on if you have to, and move the motor forward and backward until the boat teeters on your CG stringer marks. No tube sticks out the back. I had to buy an adjustable dermal type hand drill that will go 90 degrees to drill the stringers for mounts. Have fun & Enjoy

Got a newbie question here. I have been looking at the Enforcer Boats and I really like two, the Split-image cat and the Demon hydro. I have a nitro hydro now so my interest leans heavy towords the hydro but at the sametime I like the style of the cat. Has anyone ran either of these boats and what input can you give me as far as handling and speeds? Not wanting to race just wanting to own one bad ride and make the switch to the gas side.

Good move. Once we got into gas we never looked back. Not sure how the enforcer hydro or cat handle. All I know is that you can’t go wrong with any enforcer boat. I think those are the only ones I haven’t bought. Call Tony at Warehouse Hobbies. He will give you all the information you need to make a decision. Enjoy.

Well I gave it alot of thought and talked to several people and when it was said and done I just could not get away from a hydro boat. In the end I opted to purchase an G4 hydro from Insane Boats.

While the Demon from Enforcer is a nice boat and comes loaded and ready for the water, the G4 appears to offer the performance factor that I am looking for. I shared several emails with Tony and spoke with Pam about this boat in the RTR version and it comes to your door truly ready for gas and water. Enforcer boats are a really nice productbut in the end my decision to go with the InsaneG4 was based on their race proven designs in the hydro sector.

That also is a great choice. We love ours. The handling is one of the best in the hydro class. We race ours in namba district #19 and have found it to be very competitive. Nice boat. Jeff at Insane is great to work with as far as help and getting parts quick. Enjoy

Sweet boat!!! What your set up? I bought the Big Block version and it is still 3 weeks or so away. Jeff was very helpful and returned emails quick. I dealt with him direct when I ordered my boat and he wasreally helpful and provided all sorts of information at the time. I see that you guys are really activein your areaand have nice ponds to run on.There is not any other boat runners, well one other guy,in my area and the LHS have nothing in theboat area.
I must add that several other builders that I exchanged emails with where equally helpful and willing to help and advise. I just could'nt break away from the Hydro and the wicked runs on the water. I do want a Cat and plan on adding one but that will be a next year project. Looks like I just added a Bass Tracker 175 to the fleet as well so I am boat poor for the year...

Very cool. We love the insane boats. My Son and I have three insanes right now. A cat, hydro and the new G6 rigger. The hydro has a RCMK full mod motor from Bruce at Gizmo motors. You’re going to enjoy the insane hydro. Handles like a dream and fast. The bass tracker sounds like a lot of fun. Great fishing your way. I have an Aunt in Fairhope and the bass fishing is great there. My cousin gets alot of shrimp and fish as well. Hang in there it’s worth the wait for your new boat. Enjoy

Finally got a chance to fire up the big yellow magnum with new RCMK engine and my recoil is junk. Brand new motor and recoil. I took the recoil apart and the darn cog will not pop out. Tried smoothing some and it worked good enough to start breaking in the motor.
Did some research and I heard the RCMK recoil starters are junk. Now what?
