How to scale up from 1/72 to 1/6 scale?
I have the plans for the Karlsson Wildcat in 1/6 scale, along with the retract plans. If I get stalled on the retract construction I will build the Wildcatfish, a float equipped Wildcat. EDO made 1 for Navy testing. I cannot find the float dimensions, all I can come up with are 1/72 scale plastic models. I was the one dreaming about airplanes in every math class I ever took so I have no idea of the formula to go from 1/72 to 1/6. I have not purchased the Wildcatfish kit yet so I do not have the 1/72 float dimension. Appreciate any help you scholars can give me, unless you were dreaming about airplanes too........................

I've seen plans for an F4F-3S "Wildcatfish" as it was called, might even have a set. The plans I saw were for a smaller version, larger than the 1/72 model you're looking at working from.
I found the plans, just don't know if they're what you're looking for

I have a set I downloaded today for a rubber powered 18" version. And I did find a 3 view and should be able to get the AOA of the wing OK, it is pretty radical compared to the C/L of the floats. Thanks for the response.
