There isn't a wattage chart like there is in flying. Boating is more rpm's and prop sizing. The amp loads in boating is HUGE compared to flying. It's easy to pull 150+ amps on a setup. Proper kv, torque, prop sizeand motor size is more important than wattage numbers. The higher the voltage the lower kv to run to maintain the rpm range. Running higher voltage has its benefits such as lowering amp draw, but hv esc are more $$$. Traxxas started a 6s craze and it's not going very well.

This chart can help you.

I should have known better, I fly electric planes and electric Heli's. I looked at the cooling effects of water in a speed control and motor and figured Traxxas must know something I do not.
Is there a chart with reguards to the wattage required for a specific Hull out there? I see Castle has some recomended set ups on their web site for boat styles

Yea Ihave app on my phone for electric planes that's similar. In boating that won't work though. For a computer program for boating check out the forums at offshoreelectrics.com and download the FECalc
