Default Charger for new E-Revo

Just bought an E-Revo and looking for a good charger. Car comes with NIMH but I will be buying some 2s lipos. Would be nice to have one charger for both batteries if possible. Looking at SkyRC Ultimate800 - 400W x 2 but needs DC power supply and costs $149. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ger-w-Balancer Don't go for the SkyRC. Get the one i mentioned in the link. I own one, and it rocks. But, it uses bullet 4.0 connectors so you're going to need this to charge traxxas connectors. Here is a kit if you decide to change the connectors; http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...apter-Plug-Set

Imax B6 only like $20... they are so good im running a B5 and a B6

They are the absolute best for there price range, even very comparable to $100 chargers. they do every battery type and heaps of different styles of charges.
Beat 1st charger out there IMO

Sure there are 2, genuine and the clone, I sware they are both from the same factory...

[link=http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=5548]Genuine[/link]

[link=http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=15379]clone[/link]

There is even a version with a built in power supply, but I dont recomend, in case the power supply fails

The Imax B6 has a max charge rate of 5amps but the all new can charge up to 7amps

The wall power packs are cheap enough look on ebay

Im using a custom Power supply I made that can run up to 4/5 of these chargers made from a LED strip power supply... was only $30 off ebay then $10 for the powerplug/switch and power cord. with about 20min of cutting the case to hold the plug/switch and some simple wiring, all done

If you don't want to buy the cheap chinese chargers, and want to get the last charger you'll ever need to buy, get a FMA/Revo Electrix PL6.  $200ish with a combo, plus a power supply.  You can parallel charge all of your batteries in under an hour with the right power supply.

It does fine, I always ballance charge, only time it takes a while if it restoring a out of ballance battery.
U can even buy a temp probe for added safety and cycling nimh or nicd
And there is a additional harness to ballance charge 2 of the same battery's at the time.

Yeah, but only a 2.2A max charge??? Doesn't sound right. My friend has one of these and it charges at 5 Amps.
If it were me, the Thunder POWER charger mentioned above would be a better deal with a 10 Amp output for $119.
However the OPwas aking about chargers with a dual output so he could charge both of his Revo batts at once.........

EXT2Rob you are right. I would prefer to have one charger with multiple ports for charging both batteries at the same time. I currently have NIMH batteries but am going to buy some lipos soon.

I look at it like this one charger if it dies you can't charge anything 4 chargers that cost half the cost of that one that can do 2 packs if one fails you have 3 more to go. I'm one of those people that refuse to put all their eggs in one basket.
I've got 2 turnigy chargers that I paid $20 for that are 2-3 years old and still work great.

btw best power supply I made to run the $20 ones http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27554
run my 2 chargers at full blast hooked to that.(technically it can probably run 6+ 50w chargers at once)

other bonus to multi chargers is you can see the displays for each battery so you know how far out of balance they were without having to monkey around in menus

Hyperion 720i, no question. Buy one charger and be done with it.

I second this. Great charger for the price and you don't need a DC adapter, so it's just plug it in and go.
