So Yesterday i drove my ERBE and the CVD's popped out 3 Times! So i put new plastic shafts on there Instead LOL. But if you think about it, I haven't really broken any of the plastic ones, They will never "Pop Out", and they won't rust. So i don't mind heaving them on there anyway. They help with the Dark Knight look

Boy you have had bad luck with those little servos Beast, are u sure you are adjusting them right before you put the horn on? Have you been turning on the truck and the transmitter and letting the servos center before the horn goes on? I know a lot of people have problems with them but they should not be breaking right away, if they do Traxxas should replace them if you want to jump through a few of their hoops.

Put a little 3-in-1 oil or Corrosion X on the Shift Link coming out of the transmission.  Make sure it is able to move freely in and out of the trans.  Even the smallest amount of binding on that shifter will stress that servo.  Make sure to power on the unit and let the servo center itself before you attach the servo horn.  Attach it so that it is at the top of the throw for whatever position it is in.  In other words, once you power it back on and shift, it pulls or pushes that shift linkage right away, with no slack in the link.

Boy 6S is fun. I was just tearing it up in a big open field. This was the first time taking it out since I installed the extended drive cups and I'm pretty happy with it, there were a few tumbles and cartwheels but the none of the axles popped out. Happy days.

Welp if anyone remebers i wrecked my e-revo in the middle of my first pack. hit a colvert pretty bad and ended up tearing up pretty much the whole front end including breaking the chassis. i put an inquiry in the forums to see if anyone had time to fix it for me and had a couple takers but never got a really good answer with costs. so i ended up just sending it to traxxas. they replaced all the parts that i broke and they changed out all the shafts with upgraded ones. they said now it is better than new whatever that means. i should get it this week sometime i am pretty excited. this time i wont let someone stand infront of me or i will stop kick them in the ass then start again.

That's a bummer. If I lived close to you I would have gladly fixed up your truck for free, I hope Traxxas didn't sting you too badly, I hear they like to charge like a wounded bull. I hope you get a good few runs out of your ERBE before the next breakage. Maybe take it to a big field or something, the less obstacles the better and yeah if someone gets in your way make them wish they hadn't.

LOL i still haven't had a prob with mine . But I do have a question though. The body i painted is started to get the paint scrapped off. Like where the backing color got hit and now it Could chip. I was wondering if this was normal? The only thing i can think of is that i used the pearl and then backing color. No in between so i'm thinking that may be it

Did you paint it on the inside?

You're supposed to wash the inside of the shell with soap and water (like Dawn or something like that) to remove any non-stick stuff from the mold making process.

I get cracks and chips all along seams and angles from lid skids and missed landings.

You might be able to improve adhesion somewhat by rubbing the inside of the shell with a very fine steel wool.

Otherwise, I just consider it part of the bashing.

I also line the main impact areas of my shells with mesh drywall tape, and then cover that with shoe goo. This strengthens the shell and gives it some additional durability.

Just curious as to why you sent it back to Traxxas? Why not fix it yourself? You could have gotten all the parts to fix it off of ebay.

Welp finally got to run a full pack through my truck. it was awesome!!! the new parts they put on there were great! they upgraded the drive shafts and links and they look awesome as well. think i may need some lipos now. think i will start with 2s and creep up to 3s and see how it goes. what do you guys think is 2s good enough or would 3s be the way to go. really money isnt a factor just whatever you know.
