Monsoon XTR servo upgrade help.
Looking to upgrade my 1/8 scale monsoon 4.57cc truggy factory/stock servos, both throttle and steering. Wondering what is the best servos to go with. I'm still using the 2.4GHz Radio System that came with the car, if that helps anyone in choosing which ones to go with. Waterproofing is not a big deal, but would be nice. Gaining monster torque and speed, would be more of what I'm looking for. Also not really looking to spend hundreds on the upgrades. If yall could give me some good choices to choose from.
Thanks
Nick

RE: Monsoon XTR servo upgrade help.
They're not the fastest ever, but they're very, very strong, and cheap.

Alternatively...on steering... http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ium-Gear-Servo
Or if you want to get a really nice steering servo... http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...rvo-w-Heatsink
Just use the first one I linked for throttle, or if you felt like splashing on a throttle servo... http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ium-Gear-Servo

RE: Monsoon XTR servo upgrade help.
So I could pick up two Savox SC-1258TG Standard Digital Titanium gear servos and use one for throttle and one for steering or is there a difference in steering and throttle servos?
Thanks for the replay foxy

RE: Monsoon XTR servo upgrade help.
The 1258 is a little on the weak side (166oz-in, you really should be aiming for 200oz-in or more) for truggy steering. The 0251 would be a better steering servo despite being much slower, but better still, would be one of the other two (the 1256 or the DS1015, with the DS1015 being way out front as one of the best steering servos there is, it is fast AND strong, all the others have a compromise, even the 1256, which is a bit slower than I like for steering, despite being more than strong enough.
