Finally flew last Friday!

With the DLE 111cc and some extra weight it was perfectly balanced. It flew straight without any extra trimming. The landing would be perfect until the wheels rotate 90 degrees and it stop on each nose but did not flip over!

Besides a broken prop and small crack on the fake air intake on one wing everything else is okay. I believe a piece from the broken prop did the job.

So I need to secure better the clamps that prevent the lower part of the oleo to rotate. Also, have to replace the axles because both were bended. These axels are so soft that you can unbend them just using your fingers!!!

Now the good parts:

1. it sounds awesome with the twin cylinder and chopped muffler pipes.
2. It looks great flying!

Has anyone figured out what color there're using on the rudder, the light blue? Would appreciate any input, thanks.

This is what I got from Home Depot. Seems to be a good match. Hope you can make out the details in the PDF.

I saw that recently. Just didn't like the decals. Guess you could remove them...

We need some rich guy like nudger to see if they're worth it. If so, then us poor old county boys can save up a while and get one too.

The dia looks ridiculously small at 20 on this plane, me thinks. Better just accept the situation and use a two blader.....

But he price is incredible low if it inludes hub and spinner....Maybe ok for a smaller plane with electrics?

Yer, I was thinking the same. It does look very small. Also I will need at least a 25inch version and they dont do one yet. If you could buy just the hub then maybe I could make the blades. Certainly cheaper than a Solo!

Comon Nudge, grab one and give us a review eh?

Looking again, the pic looks like a DA100. Seems like a very small prop for a 100cc motor - or are DA engines a big gutless?

Also, what madman would put a 100cc motor in a plane this size? [8D]

Yes, you guys with a "DLE 111 Inside" could probably put on an impressive propeller. Me, I am more moderate, and will have to accept a 22x10 twoblader.[&:]

There should be a gear on every gasser!

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to say thanks to ALL of you that made some really good suggestions on your builds. I took advantage of a few of them and my plane is turning out really nice!! I did do a complete repaint and graphics and made it my own kind of thing. I am running a Evolution 7-77 Radial and will turn the Biela 22" X 10 4 blade prop. I am getting right at 5K RPM on the bench (specs say 6K is the MAX RPM) and figure those will increase in the air 4-500 RPM's. I also went with Ty's cockpit and I must say it turned out really nice. Still debating if I want to attempt a sliding Canopy? I went with 2 independent evevator servo's mounted under the stabs and I also built a tray and mounted the Rudder servo in the back with push pull control rods not the wires.
