Default Muncie 2012

I know it's a little early but what are the dates for the RC Skydiving Rally this year? I will be doing some traveling prior to the Rally and need to start doing some planning. Thanks for any information. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

It look's if the Muncie Rally is a one day event this year ,date ; Saturday September 8 Skydiving Radio .

Here is the link where you can have a look yourselves , On Sunday 9 September there is no Skydiving event provided on the calendar ?

Jules,
Thanks for the information. If it is only going to be a one day contest we better start early and stay late. See you there.

Hi Everyone,

I looked at the AMA site and as Jules said it looks like a one day event.

I sent Mac an e-mail to confirm if that is correct. I will let you know when I haer back from him.
I also sent him a link to the thread, so maybe he will reply here.

Mike,
I won't be able to make it this year. I am undergoing testing for a chochlear implant and have an appointment with the VA just before the contest. Going to Muncie - competing and getting to see old friends is one of the highlights of my year. I hope everyone has a great time and I will see you all next year.

[b] OK you guys, who was there and who won? Gary again? Ya'll have some pictures?

I really missed going up to Muncie this year-and last year. It is a great fun thing to do but just couldn't make it. Will try next year.
Maybe Jules and I can make it and show all of you how to jump???? Think I am out of practice now but will try to make a mass jump at the noon demo at the Hodges Hobbies Fun Fly on 9/22. Ya'll come on down to Andersonville, Ga. and join in the fun!

Keep On Jumping!!!

You know what Don, you are just about right, the turn out was very slim.

I would say this is the least number of people to show up since they have been doing this event. This is the most consistent rally we have, so you think it would be the most attended. This was the 13th consecutive year for this event.

There were only 11 names on the roster and not all of those were competing.
It has turned into the, if so and so is not coming then I'm not going either event.

It has to be disappointing for the guys that put on the event to go through the trouble of organizing it to have so few show up.

I respect all that went and competed -Meets like that need at least 20 to make a great turnout -Funds were my downfall -Now who cwon and anyone have a placment of how each did ?-a few photos would be nice and we need to get this site jabbering about Rc Skydiving to keep it going and to get new jumpers into the hobby -I(ve thout about promoting just a kit for the chute and diver which I already sell in kit form -as loke anything else the price seems to be a stumbling block for new people-more later as I work on it

The timing of the event is bad for Frank and I. I would suggest a date prior to Sept 1. After Sept 1 the calendar gets REAL busy.
