Dino,

Been thinking more. 250 feet would be wide enough. You are already there at your widest point. With a 250 foot width, you could have a 80 foot wide front straight and a 100 foot wide back straight. Course width is 70 feet. Check out the IMPBA website for the rule book to get the 1/3 mile course dimensions. Your back straight should always be wider, becuase it's hard to see the boats the farther you go. How many acres is the whole property? Do you have any limits as far as property lines. My only limit is money and I sure wish I had a friend with a Cat D6. You'll want to join the IMPBA and find 5 IMPBA members to start a club. Wouldn't it be something if 5 years down the road we have RC boat races at Elmira, Taberg, Canandaigua, and Medina.....

www.impba.net

Edit: When in Florida, stop by a fishing supply shop and buy some 7.5" diameter foam trap floats. They make good buoys.

And here's one of Bob's Gas Sport 40.

Sorry no more from the weekend - forgot to put the sd card in the camera yesterday and it was raining off and on today.

Hope to sort out the problem we're having with overheating on the 20 mono this coming weekend. Thanks to all who offered help / suggestions on solving this. We'll get it!!

Neil...RE: 'CKY'...what does 'CF on top of the hull' mean??????? Roger
CF decal get'em here http://kintecracing.com/
PS look close at the drive
Gear drive! Awesome! I'll have to take a close look at that some time.

cky said they run offshore and need added fuel. His baffle float fuel system is in the film canister. So my setup will be different. His hardware is as good as it gets.
Hi Neil
I am German World Championships !
I made the boat has been victory and the second ranking

cky ,
German World Championships ! Great time I see. I'm having a hard time winning at my own club. Gotta be a good time, even to watch. I ordered some yellow paint for my [ champion hull] I don't think I'll ever make a large event like that. My driving isn't that good. But I'll keep practicing and running. I did see the video of you looking into the camera as your driving your hull. that was something

I am planning to run a bit Thursday night at Stony Pond. I have an electric to test for a customer and I think I will bring out the Cobra2/OS tunnel to see if we can figure out why it is a dog. A fellow who is interested in running locally may stop by to check out the pond. Let's hope the T-storms are spread out and/or miss the pond. Roger

hi!! didnt know anyone in area (i live in bristol n.y.) ran boats anymore... i have a dumas pay-n-pak from 20 yrs ago that developed a twist sitting in damp shop so many yrs, i cut it down and made it into an outrigger... also have a prather(i think) deep-v that i built from plans with a K&B40 outboard that is fun, also a small electric rigger of my own design which just flies!! i also have an old cabin crusier my dad built in the 60s he had an atwood049 on it but i showcased the atwood and run it with electrons now, plus a detailed thames river slipper launch 9slow but pretty lol) i also have a 32cc gasser conversion i am looking for a hull design to use in. i just picked up a quickie40(i think)outrigger that i am waiting for a K&B 40 to come in mail....our dlub field(flying)is shut down for steam pegent so i picked some odonnell30% for the boats and it would be nice to have fellow boaters to run with. have been running in bristol mtn. reserve pond but havent been there in a yr. or so and it looks a bit grown over... any intrest in someone to boat with or new spots woulw be great!! i look forward to a reply...thanks for the video, talk soon

hi guys!! i followed over a years worth of posts!! wow stoney  pond has come a long way!! still running on smith rd.?? like to join if still an option!! maby someone can send me the info.. is it more than 35$ now?? and what about joining namba?? never raced and my equipment looks slightly outdated, was into it in the early 80s and dropped off.(cars, women, kids, house) then airplanes and boats came back full force after my dad passed 5ys ago.. couldnt find anyone to run boats with as the club i was in was only into put-puts..lol.. my pay-n-pak and 40 deep-v scared them away.. and now i picked up a quickie40 (i think..)and are getting it ready to run. interested in hangin with some other speed freaks like me. just figuring this universe out after being a member for a little over a year(not real smooth with computers..) any info would be sweet. i live in bristol n.y. so cdga. would be nice.
thanks, rick p.

Ricky...Blackout can send you more details on Stony Pond. The basic deal is that the site is now under IMPBA, so that is the organization you need to join. This is the url to the site/application form: http://www.impba.net/attachments/085...mber%20app.pdf. We are not running formal races yet but that is the plan for next season. The Stony Pond Boat Club annual fee is currently $35. If you follow the posts on this page, you will see that the guys try to run at least one day on the weekend. I usually try to run Thursdays after work. There is a drivers stand and a couple of tables. For actual racing we have been going to Elmira to run with the Southern Tier Model Boaters club. The next scheduled event there is Sep 8/9. Looking forward to meeting you. Roger C.
