what side for the water rudder
I am putting a water rudder on my floats. is one side better than the other for the rudder. I can go either side.

RE: what side for the water rudder
Kinda what Teamerica said, but not:
Almost always you need a little right rudder after takeoff. Put the rudder on the left, so you'll be compensating for its drag with right rudder. When you lift off it will be next to transparent with the rudder input.

RE: what side for the water rudder
My two float planes both have the waterrudder on the left float. Really is determined by which side your rudder horn is on for the tail if you are linking to that mechanically.
But any Viking worth his salt knows the steering board (star bord) goes on the right side when facing the bow. ;-)
