Giant Scale Flying Fields, Nashville, TN?
Will be down visiting Nashville, TN based relatives, wondering if there are any fields nearby flying larger scale airplanes? I know and like Percy Warner park but they fly smaller electrics there and I'm looking for a place to fly gas burning warbirds...

Peeler Park in Madison, is as good as it gets. The flying site is not too busy, so you can get as much flying done as you would like. Also, the people/flyers are a great bunch of guys. Let me know when you are coming, and I'll bring out my old-beat up 1/4 scale Corsair and fly with you. COME AND JOIN US! [8D]

Excellent! Very glad to hear it!
Not sure what I can stuff into our van but sounds like I should bring the trailer. I fly WW1 and WW2 planes, working on a Mesiter F4U now and flying a BH Models 90" ARF with a ZDZ 50, also have a 1/3 scale N28 and a YA spitfire.
Thanks for the welcome, I'll be in touch!

Thanks!!
WOW does not say enough. I'm already used to a great field in Wallkill NY with MHRCS, but y'all have one of the best. Definitely one to be very proud of! Very well groomed and laid out. Hold onto that one forever!!
Is there a link to the M'Boro one?

RE: Giant Scale Flying Fields, Nashville, TN?
Hi,
I joined the Murfreesboro club last month so that I could use their new field. The club just recently lost their old one. I just left there about an hour ago. It's great. The plus side of the field is that it is all trees that may reach out for airplanes have been removed. The club really went to town to make a big field. The runway is covered with fabric. The only down side is that the field was just completed about a month ago and the grass has not grown in around the runway and some of the other areas. So if it is wet, you will get some red clay on your wheels. Of course you could just stay on the runway. My tires have a little red clay .

Murfreesboro is abt 25 miles s.e. of Nashville. Brand new field. Nice and big, wide open space with no obstacles. Its on 35 acres. Nice long strip, suitable for anything. Even turbines
