I finally got around to getting my Edge done. Mine came out quite tail heavy, I ended up putting a both batteries on/in the motor box as well as 5 ounces of lead and a choke servo up there to boot. Final weight is 18 lb 10oz.

DA60 with a RE-2 for power.
Mejzlik 24x10
A123 2300 for ign and RX
Savox 1256 servos
Secraft servo arms
Futaba 2.4

Unforunately I guess mine had some heavy wood in it as I had to work hard to balance it and add quite a bit of wieght to the nose. I ended up using an ignition battery twice the size than I planned on just for the extra nose weight as well as the 5 ounced of lead and a choke servo and the RX battery all stuffed in the nose. I am not a hot shot 3D pilot anyways and the heavier wood should be stronger so it should last. Verticals will not be a problem with the DA60 already spinning a 24x10 at 6800 with no time on it.

Luck of the draw. This is the first real heavy AW plane I have received and I have had quite a few of them.
I won't lose any sleep over it that's for sure. It is just for playing around with and mock pylon racing around our field with friends so the weight will not effect it. It will just increase the touch down speed a tad. No biggie. Funny thing is when you look inside it looks barren as everthing is stuffed in the nose. All you can see is the back edges of the throttle n choke servos, the RX, rudder servo and tank. [&o]
