RE: Central NEW YORK boaters
Rick,
You can get a new Novarossi 5-port from Glenn Quarles on IW for $215. You would then need a collet and header. Those would be around $15 and $20. He sells these along with pipes too. Buy new and save yourself headaches. God knows what the previuos owner did with the engine...
Glenn offers a carb mod, but my NR carb is 100% stock and it runs great!! I did have to notch my JAE 21 tub because the stock carb has a needle that sticks way out, but no big deal, just a small notch.

Rick,
This is the notch I had to make for the NR carb needle. This shows my own engine mount too. I built this rigger before the Solinger mount was available.
Would your can muffler require deeper notches than what I did?

RE: Central NEW YORK boaters
Hey guys, I was driving my Proboat Stiletto up in the Adirondack Mountains last week, stuffed a wave and think I drove the boat into the bottom. There is some serious hull damage that I'm not sure if I'm able to fix. I'll try to get a picture posted later. You'll cringe. Anyway, a replacement hull is $135 but I'm wondering if I should move those guts over to something different.

RE: Central NEW YORK boaters
No catamarans for this guy. If it's not a tunnel then it's hydro or bust!
I've got the outboard already. It's an 18kv motor that runs off 14.8v. I'm not really sure how all the math works out but I'm running them on 4 LiPo cells. I looked into the JAE riggers but they are spec'd for something a bit different.
I think I want to stick with the tunnel but didn't know if I should look into a different tunnel hull or if I should just go back to the Stiletto. It's a great little boat.

To HeliDrop...Eric if you wanted to stay with a tunnel, I'd look at a used Top Speed 2 or 3...or even a used Dumas Hot Shot hull. If you wanted to put the electronics in (or on!!) a cat...I have a AM Mean Machine hull I'd let go for $75 with hardware. (BTW...a cat is just an inboard tunnel!! I have seen outboards on them too!!) Eric...I also have an AM Predater tunnel that could be re-configured to be electic. You would have to check if the batts would cram into the radio box. Might need a mod to get two 7.4's in it. Same as the cat...$75 for the hull. Roger
