hi everyone!!!
have not seen a thread for this model so I figured I would post one up.

Had a question? I'm running the 55AX on mine and adding the pitts muffler and was wondering is it necessary to mount the motor on an angle? can I used the holes on fire wall for electric set up, so the exhaust tips point down instead of diagonal? will it affect anything?
by the way anyone using a 3 blade set up on this?

So I side mounted my motor and added pitts exhaust and everything went together well. not that much chopping done to the cowl. will post pics up soon

Maiden my CE 2 w/ OS 55AX and 3 blade prop.....this thing is a beast!!!!!! it is fast and powerful!!!

cool what size prop are you running? I have one nib to put together when I finish my stearman I'm putting together, I'm also going with the pitts style muffler as well. I am going with a 46 ax with mine though, I have a hot rod extra I like to fly and want this model to fly kinda scale like. She looks good though

I'm using a 12X8 prop. With this plane being as small as it is a .46 should be plenty of power as well. I think the .55 is a little over kill on it but there is nothing wrong with that. this plane is fast. uses up a good bit of runway on take off due to size and weight, but other than that landings are simple and just a tad on the hot side but a very nice plane at that. The build is very fast easy/simple. are you doing 2 aileron servos or 4? I went with 4.

I'm not sure yet I may go with the two design since thats more of a scale type look with the pushrod between the ailerons. I've thought about getting a full scale eagle when I'm able to get my medical back to get back into aerobatics if my brother doesn't want to get an extra together. Thats one reason I wanted the model since I would like to own a full scale eagle for a little while atleast, I've always loved these aircraft.

Yeah someone at our local county airpark owned a full scale Eagle 2...that thing was sick! Good luck finding one

I know its a natural thing for this plane to pull to the left on take off cause of the short fuselage...what is everyones method for taking there eagle off on counter acting the pull to left factor? I have started depending on wind direction on the far side of the runway, and start gradually adding throttle and keeping the tail on the ground with a fare amount of right rudder. once the tail is off the ground ill punch the throttle and it will lift off....sometimes this always don't work and ill have to about take off and the tail spins around and end up nosing in the grass (no damage). any other take off methods for this plane??

like in the full scale rudder rudder rudder and that would be right rudder unless its a model 12 then it would be right due to the rotation of the propellor

Yup, that's what they told me at the field lol
I'm gonna throw some flying wires on the tail add a little scale and support to this thing tonight

is it pretty easy to keep up with when you are flying since the design is the same for bottom and top?

yeah once when you get it in the air its a blast to fly especially with the 55AX

ok cool i didn't know since the covering scheme was the same on the top and bottom of the wings. On my kit built planes I always change the design on the bottom from the top whether its color or stripes running vertical on bottom and horizontal on top or both color and design so its easier to tell if she's inverted or not easily

installed some Sullivan flying wires to the eagle...made it look a bit more scale. defiantly strengthen up the tail.

I am thinking about getting one of these. Was thinking either the EVO 10cc gas motor or a Saito 82. I have owned the GP 1/3rd Scale CE2, the Skyshark one and currently have the Pitts Bulldog from PAU. Just looking for a small bipe for some pattern and fun flying.
