Volcano EPX motors

RE: Volcano EPX motors
leopard 60amp brushless ESC with either a 3300kv to 3500kv motor.
The system (motor and esc) run $60 on hobbypartz.com.
that system is very close in performance to what the brushless version volcano comes with.
If you wanna stay brushed, then a axial 27, HPI saturn 27t or basically and 27t motor will do the job.

Thanks Nitro. I will look into those. I will probably go the brushless route.

a brushed motor will run you $20.
You can get a better brushed motor, that will run you $30-$40 if you also upgrade the ESC. But a better esc is another $30 (used)
So a $60-$80 brushless system is a better spend.
Just make sure the motor in the system is no lower than 3300kv...or you will have to re-gear the truck. A 3500-3900kv motor would be better.

Nitro any other suggestions other than the leopard. Hobbypartz is out of stock on all the leopards.
I found them on ebay but rather not send my money to Hong Kong.
