BVM F-100
Well i have started on another F-100 and i am about half way thru doing the Flite-metal on the fuselage. I will try and keep an update going on here. I'm also waiting for a lighting package to come from Dan Gill at Details4Scale. It also has an operating canopy and locks, drague chute, tail bumper, and a servo operated locking main hatch.

RE: BVM F-100
Greg, the new F-100 is looking good. Have you decided whether you will use flite metal or paint the center section of the wing as we discussed due to the wrinkling?
If you are using paint, I was just wondering what you will use?
Planning on flying mine again this weekend and then it will probably go into the hanger for the winter to begin the Flite metal and finishing process. Can't wait to get it covered in Flite metal.

RE: BVM F-100
In the original F-86 kits I think BVM had a paint number that he used on the center section. I am pretty sure it was the silver just mixed with a little black to darken it some. I am thinking maybe one of the colors in the bvm hot section kit might work. You might need a larger bottle but I might look at the hot section colors I have at the house to see if they might be the correct color.

Therightcolorofthe centersectionturns out to be a tough nut to crack. Of the moment i'm not sure, how i willsolve that challange. In the near future, I'll do some experiments. If i have good results. i let you know.
Here some pictures of the original what shows the different color effects. Depending on light, it looksvery different.

RE: BVM F-100
Atmy first BVM F-100 i took 1/6 scale pilots because they are the most beautyful. In fact 1/6 is to big. Correct scale is 1/7. The pics shows how realistic they are (but the instrument panel is to close to the body. There is no place to move the stick). At thetime i work on my secound F-100 cockpit and i'm in search ofperfect 1/7 Pilots.

Rainer,
If you keep your eyes open sometimes an HM Armed forces RAF pilot comes up on eBay. While they lack the detail of the 1/6 pilots, They are 1/7 scale. Seeing your work I'm sure you could easily rework the helmet to improve the detail. [8D]

RE: BVM F-100
So after finishing up my F-86 and also getting the first flight on it i have started back in on my F-100. Total change on the color scheme has come about due to not wanting to go thru all the work with the flite-metal again.
Well that has changed also as it was suggested to me to not go thru all the work of taking what i had already put on off the model. I was asked to just leave it on and go ahead and just do the camouflage paint job right over the FM. So that is what i will do.
So today i started by sanding out the elevators and putting the rivet details into the FM and then i also shot some model master paints to get the beginning of the camouflage job started.

Hi Greg
Your camouflage color sheme is clenchbut not mainstream. I like it. To fly this liguana, take the keen-eyes along.
Remember that you can open the main hatch also, if the servo not work (broken or low battery of the reciever)
By the way: The front ejection seat of my "two holer" HUN is 90% finish. Pictures follow within the next few days.
