Default Super Tigre 45 Glowplug

Needing advice on an OS plug. 0 percent fuel, 9x8 apc prop, tuned pipe. Picked the plane up used and just fired it up. Used a spare traxxas plug and it seemed to run good for the few minutes I ran it. I have used an F plug in my .90 running 0 percent and it worked great. Think it will work in the .45 also?

The .90 NEEDS the OS-F, the .45 will be happy with OS#8 or Enya#3

I use a Taipan red (long reach, hot) plug in my GS45 and with 75/25 all castor and the standard muffler it gives 14,600 revs with an APC 10x6 prop.

I use either Fox Long or RC Long glow plugs in most everything. Or if I need to a Fox Miracle plug.
Fox Short plugs in the smaller engines too.
But if you have to go with a OS plug then it is the #8 plug.

My Italian ringed 45, I use a Fox RC long with the Idle bar cut off. 3% acetone, 17% 30 year old Sig castor, no Nitro. 50'F, 11-7 MA 10,700 no tweaking, Rich, 1980 Idle, Starts only in reverse let it warm up, shut down glow plug self reverses. Nothing above an Idle in reverse, Great throttle response forward, going to try a colder plug. really loud. tons of compression. not as powerfull as my
Fox 50's, but definately a keeper, wichich airframe HMMMM oHoHoH The Neptune!

0% fuel? OK try the Merlin 2003HD. If you still feel you need hotter then a 2011 or 2009.

The lhs closed at 4:00 yesterday. I went out there and looked at the various charts he had. The OS plugs were kinda expensive. I seen that the Merlin brand was a decent price and the 2003 looked like the one. It's equivalent to an Enya #3. Trouble is, all they had was the 2003HD. So I picked that up. Three bucks cheaper than an OS 8. Thanks guys for the help. I'll let you know how it works out.

The HD is just heavy duty version, costs what a buck more? And it seems to make a slight difference in longevity. Ithink you will be very happy.

Hi!
Nova Rossi 4, Rossi 3 or Merlin.
OS 8 or Enya 3 works good too but the above will probably give some more rpm.

I bought a season's worth+ of Merlin plugs a while ago and so far am very happy. I run the 2003HD in propped ducted fan engines and they hold up great when I set the needle right. The only plug I've bought from the LHS since then is one OS "F" I think. And you can get good advice on the phone from them.
