Surprising how much the pilot has to man handle the controls. No doubt from all the thermals. Very bumpy ride all around.

Before they banned stubble burning in the UK gliders used to use them to gain height especially when competing cross country, they where the bumpiest rides you can imagine, but boy did they go up, seen over 20 knt on the VSI in some of them, those where the days, the only problem was if you where in a doped fabric and wooden glider the burning stubbly going past the canopy certainly caused a bit of concern. LOL
