Default To 3D a Twin 4 Stroke Gas

I Like The Sound Of a multi Cyl. 4Stroke Engine .
And I am thinking about a Twin Gas 4 Stroke in a 104" A J Slick . Will this work?
I Will need a smoke system Too.

I'm not aware of any 4 stroke gas engines that would be remotely appropriate for a 3D airframe.

Step down a size in airframe and get one of these. Not sure on how they would perform for a 3Der, RPMs are down, Mehzlik 23 x 8 @ 5900 rpm and I hope the posted muffler weight is a typo. Likely more suitable for a civilian application. Bet it sounds good though.

That looks like an interesting option. The weight is about the same as a DA 50 with a canister. It looks like the muffler weight is what is going to kill you. Then again being a 4 stroke you may be able to get away with strait pipes.

The other option would be a light 85" span airplane with a Saito 300 twin Glow. A bud of mine had one in his Ohio Extra 300 and it sounded awesome. Costly to operate and he finally threw in a ZDZ 40.

Come on guy's lets get real for a second ES TROLLING is well known for trolling.. we should stop feed him.. don't believe me ??look at his post history . i remember his last trolling post was something like giant scale airplane for 500 dollars or something. even Extra Ace's agreed with me at some point to his trollishness.

and are we really considering a twin satio gas four stroke for 3d flying on a 50cc plane that motor weighs as much as a DLE111 .... DA 120 IS FREAKING LIGHTER THEN THIS ENGINE.. and it's power I'm guessing is on par with ZDZ 40 maybe if your lucky..
this motor is a scale motor for a Giant cub or Cessna something with a wide cowl and can handle the weight .. it's not going to pull a 50cc plane out of a hover with any ballistics ... and if you where suggesting it would you should be banned from this forum for MISS INFOMATION... / glare eye's ....in my opinion...

and I'm doubting the power band and the cowl Clarence .. Let's get real here .. OP is trolling and it's a none logical question that anyone should be able to fizzle out in about 3 seconds if you've been flying RC for any length time.

big time /ROLL EYES

Sorry I was just trying to learn .  And wanted to try a Moki twin 100 cc and thought maybe someone else tried it in a 3D airframe.
Thats all.
I shut up.  But I still like to dream, and try Inventions.

Zach, tell me exactly what is wrong with thinking outside the box. It's obvious that you haven't been around R/C long enough to remember that most of the equipment we have now is a direct result of people with forward thought. If someone had told me 25 years ago that transmitters would be micro processor based and that some would even talk to you I would have doubted it. Yet here it is. 20 years ago nobody thought that we would be hovering around 40% airplanes.

Guess what............we all may be flying 4 stroke engines in EVERYTHING some day soon. Have you noticed the shift to 4 strokes in lawn and garden equipment? Why do you think that is? Ever hear of the EPA? Show some respect!

alot of Zach's responses end this way, he likes to ride people and suggest there is only one way to do things...unfortunate.

I agree. I would not have said anything if this were the first time I had seen him respond in that manner.

there are some large scale using Radials, some of these have ALOT of power, while perhaps not ideal for 3D some of them are capable of it.

Who would have thought (10 years ago) that jets would hover and 3D

Experimenting in aviation, thats how we got the things we have today.

also instead of using a smoke system, install a nitrous oxide bottle in the fuse. should help out with 3D performance quite a bit !!

your rebudle is all out of context what does Microprocessors and innovation have to do with 3ding a 6 pound 4 hp motor on a 50cc plane ? ( also I'm thinking that motor is wider then most cowl's and it cost factor )and apparently now we are using Nitrous system's LOL

You guys how far we going to bend things to match it in your favor ?

Wait I GOT IT GUYS he could use that set up on Mitt romney's SPACE BASE on the Moon where the gravity would allow for the power to weight ratio to match 3D flying..!!

Wow! That was hard. Hey guys I am back. Yes, I disappeared since Feb. I was very hurt from my lack to communicate, and what was said here.
But its time to move on with my dream. A 3D Plane with a 4 Stroke twin that blows smoke. Starting Feb. I want to buy something like a ROTO 85 fs than a plane. I have come a long way this summer. Being a flight Instructor has taught me more than the student. Also To all you guys that are good at 3D. The onlookers dont really care. They just want to see something fly. And prefer Smoke over anything other than a candy drop.
