I am ecstatic.
Wife calls me at work saying that my Tru turn spinner came in the mail.  Got to love that wife.  Just glad she
can't see the invoice.
Just got an email from Kelvin at Keleo Creations with shipping info on my exhaust as well.  He must have used a magic wand
or something.  Only ordered it a week and a half ago.  Super service.  Now, I have to see what the friendly
neighbourhood Canada Customs "Service" people do.  They can hold shipments for a long time without explanation.
But, I will think positive and upload some pics of the progress as soon as I can.

I never had a nose over problem in mine..... And I had the Robo struts Installed in the original angles.
quote]ORIGINAL: facica
Do you think I will still have to shim the retracts forward when I go with the Robarts
to counter act the known nose over problem?

Thanks 77chickenhawk.

Good to know.  Will research pricing for these Robo struts and hopefully get myself a pair.

Absolutely super pics flygono.
Flaps down angle looks very scale. My flaps on the Hangar 9 Spit don't seem to
travel that far. Did you have to make any mods to the factory Comp setup?

My Hanger 9 P40 is a Nose-Over fool. It is almost impossible to land without tipping over. I am surprised to hear about the same thing with H9 Spits as I don't believe mine has ever tipped on landing or take-off.

Nice progress 108buzz.
The Keleo exhaust looks good. I am waiting for mine to arive.
Assembled the Tru turn spinner this morning for test fitting.
I will take it to a local powder coating place to get it powder coated white.

facia, I had the same problem with my HH Hurricane. I found that by adjusting my servos to the full down position and then "adjusting" the pushrods, flap horns and servo arms it is possible to get "full flaps" and fully retracted flaps - piece of cake.

Out.

Me and 1.5 went to the field today for our 1st Brotherhood Spitfire sortie. We were able to put both of our operational spitfires in the air, along with 1.5’s new rocket.

Also my Second in Command did very well with some instruction.

Here is the big girl at Warbirds and Classics over the Miwest, Fond Du Lac, WI, 2012. No cowl, as the engine is still breaking in and I do not yet want to risk an overheat. The ZDZ210 inline is a great motor with the right prop. Now I will begine working (slowly) on the CompARF Spit I bought back when they first came out.

Jeff
Jeff, great paint scheme .. I repainted this PZ Spit for fun in the same over the summer.

I too would like to report that I got some Spitfire flying done for our first 'fly-in'
Not everything went to plan as my 3W55 in the Yellow still refuses to hold RPM even ground running with the cowl offs so I did not get to fly it.
I did however have a couple of great flights with my Alfa Models Mk v. This little ship has given me great pleasure over the years that I have owned it and today was it's day.

I did get to have a pic taken with my mate Keith who owns and flys a real Spitfire Mk26. He is meant to be off to England soon for training on the TR9.
Hope to hear of all your Spitfire flying soon gents.

Cheers,

Brad

Wingedstitecs does a great job, many of the guys in our area have his stuff.
My Pica Spitfire will maided this spring, I will be posting some photos soon of it after the paint job. Mike has his Yellow Spitfire flying now, Mike also just picked up CompARF Spitfire kit, Jeff just picked up a new Yellow Spitfire kit, and Ken is rebuilding his Pica Spit. We will have our own NW squadron this year.

SnakeBT6, Looking at my beautiful Spit, I just don't have the heart to put paint on it yet after all. Relating to other matters discussed on another fighter thread, it turns out that Tyrone Woods' laser lit up morter positions because of laser assets in the area that, it turns out were ordered to not fire. Please check out Google for modern heroism and betrayal in the air.

I GOOGLED: Why the Benghazi laser worked but no laser weapon asset did (See Rush - whether it's my Spitfire or a weapon system, I really hate it when things go horribly wrong!) - We may be on our way out, But we can make the enemy pay dearly for every act of brutal Fascism!

Out.

flygono, nice ride dude. i was peeping out your pics and got a idea you might like. you know that cooling hole you have up front? i'd put some fine screen in it. kinda like they use in speakers and paint it. that would really help hide it. not trying to tell you what to do , just an idea i thought i'd pass on ,WB_!

There is a build for Nick's Spit on RCScalebuilder by FLydoc. Not the easiest to follow but will give you an overview. I am looking into building one and bought the plans.
