Yeah my verzion has the old style servo mount so i didnt have that part but looks like james helped you. The f16 is almost a trainer in my opinion, i was having some issues this past weekend but i found my cg was off a bit just get it perfectly level at 220 and the landings are nice. Glad to help that was my goal of the build, where in south korea do u fly? I was stationed there for two years.

James,
Thanks for good picture.
If there is part list or manual, It will be good help to customer.
But I like building kit and also challenging.
Lookilook,
Mine is also 1/6 size and new honey comb material like you. This is my first kit really huge.
I think so too, light and detail kit additionally speed brake. Next item. I'm really exciting with it.
By the way what about your elevators? is it stiff too?
Thanks for good picture.

James,
Is FEJ working or not? Holiday?
I requested to send my valley tank which they missed when shipped. But no responding.
I checked several times to find out in the 3 boxes as they requested. Nothing.
Can you help me to push sending it to me?
This is my first time to have dealing with FEJ. But responding is too slow.
Regards,
Jake Ham

I have a question during the elevators installing.
There is no bearing on the elevators mounting point. Do you just install them with oil due to high torque servo? or choose another way to minimize friction?
What do you think?

No there is suppose to be a bearing inside, mine has a two I think, Mine has a brass tube with a place cut out for the flat spot on the elevator shaft. When you install mine I put the brass sleeve on the elevator shaft, slide a white plastic spacer ring on, and insert into the jet which slides through the bearings. Then on the inside you slide the elevator arm/clamp onto the shaft and push it on till it touches the inner race of the bearing. The prevents the elevator for moving in and out, your picture doesnt look right to me, my jet has a ply bulkhead and some aluminum in that area where the bearing and bearing holder mounts.

I'm also really wondering why there is no bearing in it. Nothing at all. Only plastic sleeve like pipe. As you said there should be bearing on the moving parts with high load.
Guys! Do I have to modify like below picture which is skymaster's one or is there any great idea to solve it? Please advise me.

well if i was you i would contact james or lowell. with a jet of this size you need some kind of bearing support. unless they changed the design to this to type og design but with this size i would not settle for that. Be sure andbcheck with the compnay first.

Hi Suhak...
Your F16 should be new version with different set up. I have asked company to sent you some photos by email. You can check your email for set up.
Thanks
James

RE: Fly Eagle 1/6 scale F-16 Build Thread
Hello James,
I got the picture from the factory. Thank you for supporting me.
They informed me my F16 is new version which have direct drive mechanism on the elevator.
But there was no bearing.
I'm still wondering it is reliable. due to that stiffness, I think it can be happen loosing jet due to over consumption voltage.
Also I may need more high torque servos.

RE: Fly Eagle 1/6 scale F-16 Build Thread
well im a big fej fan just dont like this route, so i probably want buy any of the jets the add this design to. this type of design has popped up over the years. for this type of control surface i would need some long term flight feedback. so looks like ur the test subject keep us informed with how ot works/holds up. good luck

Im not a fan of this type design, I personally will not buy any that has this design(not saying its bad or good just saying I like bearings) if the wear out you can replace them. I would bet the FEJ can do it with or without per buyers request.

I had a small Yellow F-16 with a similar setup on the ailerons, to ease wing removal. It worked great but I would never trust it to an elevator of such size. It is though, a good concept for LE Flaps. I may be doing something similar on my future F16 project.

Fender:
I have one J10 (canard set up is simiar to this). It has around 150 flights on. Never has a single issue or wear out on this part.
Mr. Liu flew his J10 more than 200 flights on, no issue on this part.
One customer has F16 1/5.5 scale, he got his model5 or 6months ago. He got more than 300 flights (fly almostevery day) and never has an issue on this part.
Anyway, I will suggest this part to company if can be an optionwith bearing.
Thanks
James

I just dont see how a shaft rotating inside something without a bearing is the best design, if you say it works then I guess it does. I like the idea of continued improvements but it is impossible for two materials to rub/rotate without some wear. Just to be clear im not talking about the part that attaches to the servo and goes into the control surface, I am just talking about the shaft going into the jet from the control surface.
Does the hole have something special like teflon or something?
Just my thoughts and personal liking, man 300 flights on the F-16 is out standing I need his landing gear for sure.

That is my opinion, I think its great design for the wings, slats and ailerons, would be great and like you said ease of removal would be fantastico!! I just think the larger/heavy jet elevators need something. The flight load on a elevator is crazy, plus you have forces twisting, pushing and rotating all at the same time.

hi Fender:
there is ABS material tube inside the hole. So, the titanium rod go throught the hole to work with the ABS tube together perfectly. after intall, there is no play at all on stabs. fly many times, still work perfectly and no play either.
his landing gear is same as the new one you have.
Thanks
James
