RE: OFFICIAL OFNA DM-1 THREAD
Already been adressed u read my mind and that's was just the genreal shape it's been changed a fair bit now I'm just working on fine lil details and trying to decedied on the rear spoiler if I should just make it completely separate or mold the to rear uprights into the body and mold a center spoiler to attach between the two, I'm leaning towards a fully separate spoiler made from carbon fiber sheets

Those aero dynamics are looking good!
Those aero dynamics are looking good!
The wind tunnel simulation pictured represents many hours of work and research.
Several modifications were made to the body’s original artistic and concept design.
This pre-production planning and testing was done to achieve greater aerodynamic performance over style.
The end result is to provide GT racers another excellent hi-speed body option and to try to help make GT racing a lot more fun! [8D]

I guess a picture will impress some.
What app. is that?

Creating a new original GT body design that performs well at hi-speeds is a little harder than it looks.
The new 325 GT racing body was designed using Autodesk, while the wind tunnel simulation done tested in Falcon. Between the two programs there’s about 60 – 70 hours of R&D in the base of the project and that’s even before the creation of the plug or starting to make the tooling needed to make quality lexan body parts.
Here’s another picture of the process, hope you guys enjoy it.
Thanks again!

Here’s a current picture of the new Ipanema 325 GT race body plug.
Those of you looking for an aerodynamic advantage over the competition might appreciate the 325 GT body.
This picture should give you all an idea of where it is now.
Just trying my best to bring you a faster new GT body that will make driving or racing your cars more controllable and fun.
If any of the “haters†have a problem with that….. maybe they’ll try to make a faster GT car body of their own and make it available at an affordable price, instead of just polluting this forum with their bs!! Lol
C-fraser, good luck with your body, the more the merrier.
Take care and thanks again! [8D]

Hey jspeed, that new body your working on looks great! For those of us looking for high speed bodies how will it do maintaining its shape beyond 100mph? I have a had issues with bodies rippeling once the car gets going past 80-90 MPH. I know many people have had to modify their bodies to help them maintain shape. I have added extra body posts and reinforced bodies with tape or shoe goo to stop rippeling. looks like it should be a very stable body if it can maintain its shape beyond 100+mph.

There are a few things we can do to help more serious top-speed racers who intend to push the envelope with their cars.
Adding a “5th body post to help support the windshield better, is a good start.
Using a high quality tight fitting CNC body matching foam bumper will help keep a lot of air from getting under the lid too.
It’s amazing how many people try to run over 80 mph without having a tight, form fitting foam bumper made for their GT cars.
We'll be offering CNC foam bumpers that will be specific to the 325 GT; in the same way we do for the Warrior GT race body now.
We could look into designing an additional sub-structure to attach to the inside of the body, if needed.
Our standard track racing GT bodies are made in .030 thick lexan.
A much thicker lexan material could be used if customer demand was sufficient for additional top-speed specific production runs.
Hope it helps, thanks again! [8D]

Man if you don't like it, just keep quiet and don't go insulting someone else's hard work, don't be such a douche bag yourself.

Well unfortunately its a so called free country and im entitled to my own opinion and as well it performs at those mind blowing speeds off 100+ I personally think it looks like a ford probe and is made by a company or person lacking in integrity and again this is just my opinion so you can go ahead and enjoy all the blatant misconduct of spam advertising by ipanema on this thread and its representatives (Jspeed) pompous insulting self absorbed posts

RE: OFFICIAL OFNA DM-1 THREAD
Please explain how a company and person (Jspeed) lack integrity, when he's the only person giving us quality tires and bodies, oh forgot to mention, an anual world chapionship where all manufatures are welcomed and participate. Where Ipanema always seems to win, yeah must be the lack of integrity. And just like you have the right to voice your opinion so does Ipanema, they are trying to give us racers an alternative to whats out there, and BTW the products work, be it bashing or racing. You are welcome to wait for OFNA to release a new body for the DM-1 (never going to happen) or you can just try the products Ipanema puts out or from other companys, or wait for that F-1 pinyata thats being showcased here and good luck with that. Lead, follow or get the hell out of the way and let the creative minds no matter who they may be enrich this great GT class.

RE: OFFICIAL OFNA DM-1 THREAD
Oh btw, if the Ford Probe GT I used to own looked like the Ipanema body, I would have never sold it, you hate Jspeed so much you are blind to a great design and beautiful looking body. Come on, you know you like it, stop trying to butch up and say something positive for a change.
