Default Alien Aircraft Gadget

I received this kit from a R/C magazine after they selected one of my building tips for an upcoming issue. Needless to say, I was very surprised and excited to have a new kit just before winter.

I found one reference to the AAGadget on this web site but it was a couple of years old and pretty short. If anyone has built this kit and has some tips or mods to share, I'd appreciate it.

What motor/ESC/battery/prop combo did you use in the Taylorcraft?

Here's a pic of mine, built last year.
You will love building it as much as flying it, it's a great kit.
Mine flys on a Power-Up 250 Plus 1400kv with a GWS 8x4 EP, HURC 10a ESC and a 2s 1000ma LiPo.
It will get you hooked on A-A kits, I've built several and they are all a blast!

Thanks, David. Your response was exactly what I was asking for. And the photos are a nice bonus. Your Gadget looks fantastic!

Thanks,
I only made three minor mods.
1- enclosed the top of motor compartment. (for looks, no other benefit)
2- made a battery hatch so I would'nt have to remove the wing to swap batteries.
3- bent landing gear slightly forward and reshaped LG fairings to match. (keeps it from tipping over during grass landings)

I noticed the motor cover...really finished it off nicely.
Battery hatch sounds like a must and I'll take your tip on the LG.  I saw a YouTube showing this model with micro retracts...I may explore that option too.
Thanks again for the info!
