RE: ZENOAH 26 FOR 60 CUB
Oh, i'd guess it'ld be just dreadful with that much power.
We have a couple of 1/4 scale cubs powered by simlar engines in the club.
They have plenty!
Down scale the engine or up scale the airframe IMO.

We were saying the same thing :

I'm sure someone has tried it before so if you want to try it .....go ahead ,but I think it will be an effort in futility. It will propably just fit on the firewall but I don't think there will be much left of the cowl after it's cut away to fit around the engine. You will have to add tail weight or move things around alot to compensate. as there will be about 1.5 pounds more on the nose compared to gasoline engines suited for this size plane. Flying characteristics should be interesting too.

RE: ZENOAH 26 FOR 60 CUB
I have a Balsa USA 1/4 scale Cub with an OS 120 4 stroke, not overpowered but it flys fine. Had a 60 size Cub years ago with a K&B 65 2 stroke, way to much, went to an OS 48 4 stroke and the plane became a joy to fly.

My old Goldberg Cub was super sonic on a K&B .65. Flew very well on a O.S. .48fs engine. I can see the wings bending backwards as this Cub breaks the speed of sound with a 1.20 on the nose. Would fly nice with a 70ish fs engine in it.

If you want an overpowered speed demon, get a plane that's made to be that. A Cub is designed to putt around the sky on the wing. If you like 4 strokes, a Saito .82 would have flown it nicely with power to spare for windy days or doing big loops and hammerheads.
