They have very powerfull and competitively priced turbines but I have rarely seen them. Is there anyone who can share some feedback on reliability, operations, customer service....

They are accually flown a lot (if not the most) in germany. Service is eccellent according to all flying them, he is even available on weekends (i'm a homebuilder so i do not have first hand info on that....when ordering material from Alfred Frank it arrives quickly and to satisfaction). They don't stand out to other engines in performance, reliability etc, but also they don't stand behind. They are a bit thirsty, but run well and smooth and reliable.

There are several pilots in our club flying them. They generally seem to be reliable with just the odd hiccup (no better or worse than any others). A bit heavy on fuel so I am told but good VFM.

I doubt the fact that they are the most flown turbines in germany but for sure some nice engines.
Still JetCat is leading the german market but this may change in the future

I own 3 Frank turbines. I m hunderd Percent satisfied with them. also the service of alfred frank is outstanding. Go for it, it will be no fault.

Meantime i own my second Frank Turbine since 3 years now. Frank turbines are working regarding thrust (bit more) and reliability similar to those on the market. But for me there were 2 facts to go again for them. The price and support. Whenever I had a question I picked the phone called him and got friendly and competent answers. Furthermore in warranty and spare parts Alfred is more than obliging.

They don't speak english, it's written on the website to contact Frank Schroeder in Luxemburg for french/english requests. But there's no e-mail just phone/adress. That is may be a reason of the small numbers of Frank turbines outside Germany.

Newest are the F180 Raptor..


Simple conversion at 15 ° C 19 kg: 940 hPa 1013 hPa x = 20.48 kg
The turbine has a weight of only 1580 grams
This is a thrust weight ratio of 1:12,96, The original large turbines can only dream of it.
