ECOMRC Fokker D-VII
Well I Finished the ECOMRC Fokker D-VII. This is an ARF that you will need to do some modes yourself to get it to be a strong airframe. Check all of the glue joints. I had to add 6oz of weight to the engine cowl to get it to balance at the CG point of 4 1/2". That is even with a DLE-30 in it for power. Here are a few pics of the finished D-VII.

RE: ECOMRC Fokker D-VII
The firewall was to then for a DLE-30 so I fiberglassed the whole engine comaprtment. Front and rear of the firewall and both cheeks. That added some extra weight but it was needed to help in the balancing of the plane. The landing gear hardwood blocks need some more support so I epoxied in some extra hardwood in that area. The wheels that come with the plane are a real joke so I went out and ordered the Willliams Brothers Vintage 1/5" WWI wheels which look much better. The canopy with the pilot was bolted on. But when you put the cowl on you could not take the canopy off to get to your servo's and batteries. I cut off the canopy support arms and installed a couple if 1/2" magnets to hold the canopy on. It is much easier to access now. Over all it is a pretty good arf . You'll see where more attention is needed by trying to figure out the instructions during assembly. If you have put together a few ARF's you'll have no trouble

RE: ECOMRC Fokker D-VII
I am noy realy pleased with this ECOMRC Fokker. The maiden was almost a total disaster. The plans are not really detailed enough to talk about things like wing incedance. I was a little worried about that but I figured the manufacture most have put the plan together and flown it. The top wing has positive incedance and botton wing has 0 incedance and the small wing between thw wheels and positive incedance. I had the plane balcanced and the forward CD point of 4 1/2"(114mm) and when I took off the plan climbed almost striaght up and I had to give it all the down elevator it had just to keep it fly striaght.[X(] I had to go to an ideal to stop it from climbs. I was able to get it on the ground without to much damage. [:@] I have the plane ready to fly again but before I do I need to know what the wing incedance on the 3 wings should be? I will also more the CG forward another 1/2".

JIM, try posting in the Kit Building fourm for Fokker DII wing incidence, lot's of knowledge over there on Balsa USA 1/4 scale WW-I builds, which should be simiular.
I'd say the undercarrage wing @ 0, bottom @ +1,and top wing @ -1 deg. for starters. Don't take my word for this, I'm no expert on biplanes

********,
You are so correct about the weight being needed to blance. I have a DLE-30 gas engine in it and I have stilll had to add about 12oz of weight to the nose just to get it to balance at 114mm(4 1/2"). [:@] You sad the plance flys better at 100MM. Do you have this plane and have you flown it? Thats for you feed back
