Default Real boat drives

Hi Guys

Just been looking at MTI website and there is a boat for sale on there... Its got wierd hoses going into the drive before the prop..

Those are to ventilate the prop during planing. The props have a huge pitch, and can't go from subsurface to surface piercing easily without the vents.

i would say they are to ventilate the props while the boat is NOT planning. when the props are sub surface it allows the water to be aerated a little bit more putting a little less load on the engines to build up the revs.
while the boat is planning the top halves of the props are out of the water and do not need aerating.

They use the exhaust gasses to aerate the props as said above.

this was an idea of Fabio Buzzi 1987 which was installed on his famous CESA1882 which won all titles in 1988 and 1989.
One of the biggest advantages in these times of this boat was, that CESA1882 could step on plane much more earlier than all other boats
and that props with bigger pitch could be used.
This is 50% of the idea and will not work very good!
All of the copy guys did not see the flap............
