In our club field,we all use the turbine on the tail, first use P-60 and Super-Bee,later we use Kingtech K-80.No problem.maybe is is necessary to put more heavier nose weight, but we can reduced the weight of tail-pipe and the trouble of heat around the servo of elevron.(We all use elevron and no flap). It can land with very low speed.

Easy to to disassemble, and easy to install. If you don't use flapron, only to loose two screw.Don't need much space to transport.

OK, thanks.

Just two screws, so there is no carbon fiber between fuse and wings.

About the landing gear, it´s possible to keep them close to transport ???

Because I have spring air in my turbinator, and I keep them always open, because some guys told me that if I close them to transport, the spring can stop working

Best Regards

Roberto,

You could bu you wold need a simple foam pad base in the aft to keep from crushing the ventral fins. I do it all the time.
However, the landing gear is air up air down on the F-16, not like the spring airs. I carry mine with the gear extended most of the time.

Either/or is possible.

I was thinking about this ventral fins, easy to broke

Man, I can´t decide what F-16 I should buy

I saw a lot of videos, the fly eagle standard looks good in many videos

In this video, with a merlin 90 look awesome !!

I would like to read the manual, how the wings are attached to the fuse, but can´t find pics and there is no manual

best regards

The wings have a main cylindrical spar and a forward pin. They are all the same. You slide the wing in and tighten 4 bolts. There is one bolt for each pin and each main spar. If you fly ailerons, you would typically leave the aileron plugs hanging from the fuselage, then plug it in and hide the cables inside the wing. There are lots of room to do this. It probably takes me 4-5 minutes to unload from car, assemble, and fuel. Doesn't get much simpler.

Here's kind of a crappy video from a few weeks ago. The weather was harsh, but we still flew some. This is the Fly Eagle Sport Version, Merlin VT-90. I can do 250 ft takeoffs and 200 ft landings with a nice head wind.

There really isnt a "bad" F-16 out there, so take your pick, no worries. They fly good and easy to set up.

No I prefer ailerons. Had a Tamjets F-16 with tailerons only and it was ok too. I dont think anyone has any adverse feedback on using tailerons, they work great.

That's the video that made me decide to put a Merlin 90 in my Fly Eagle F-16 Standard. Mine flies just like the one in the video and I'm very pleased with the performance. Now that the M90 has been replaced with a M100X that would be even better.

Iput a block of foam under the tail every time I transport it to protect the ventral fins. If i had it to do over again I would leave the fins off.
