Default Brian Omeara's F84's

Brian has been very busy with the F-84 in the last couple of years. Henry from HVN models has just finished a second kit from Brian.

The first picture is "Babydoll". This is the plane that Brian got from Who Da Man. She is now painted in Dutch airshow markings with the pinup of Babydoll" on the nose

The Dutch airshow team borrowed four planes from the USAF for a two week demo. This was one of the planes that was borrowed. The nose art was on the us plane and the Dutch left it there for the two weeks.

One of the kits is a Recon verison called an RF-84F, it has six cameras in the nose. It is the long nose 84 with six cameras that Henry built. Has a jetcat 200, Futaba radio. I think it is the only one flying in the world.

The last one Henry just finished. It has not flown yet. Henry built the custom built this hatch. I will get more pictures soon.

Dantley,

These are all Phantasy in Blue kits. Much larger then the PST. Also these are swept wing not straight wing like the PST.

Brian asked me to post this, his computer is not cooperating with him.

Brian has a PST straight wing F-84 too. Somewhat smaller than the fantasy jets but very cool too. It was built by Oli and is in the four queens scheme.

room for everybody. The shop is 1600 sq feet. HAs eight electric hoists. A 220 volt air compressor that is outside and plumbed into the shop with eight stubs coming out of the wall. SO lots of air for painting, plowing dust out of fuselages and cycling landing gear. Tons of electrical outlets and overhead lights. It is attached to my house with a firewall between the house and the shop and has an industrial sprinkler system in the ceiling.
Light colored tiles in the front of the shop and beige carpet in the back. So if you drop a screw, it does not go bouncing . The tiles are soft, so easy to stand on for long periods of time . Easy access as I installed a double sized garage door. So I back my truck or trailer up and awl three steps to load. There is a wall mounted shop vac with outlets throughout the room, so sanding dust can be easily vacuumed during the job.

Yea, it seems like it is a mecca of RC guys hanging around. The picture of the P-47 was taken last week as the plane was getting ready to pack for Top Gun.

I love Republic airplanes. Especially the P-47 and the F-84s.

Did not plan to do a build thread. There is one on RCU already, done by Frank Alvarez.

Here it is: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_66..._1/key_/tm.htm

I'll post some shots of the finished model. We should be ready to paint in late December/Early January. Right now all the many extra scale details from D4S are being added to turn it into a competition plane. The kit is super detailed out of the box from the manufacturer, but there is always room for adding stuff.

What are the dimensions of the Thunderstreak? Is this the Knoll F-84?

Hey JC,

Was paging thru RCU and found your reference to my J-35 Draken!
As you guys know, Ive been campaining this beautiful jet since its debut at the 2008 Top Gun. Many changes over the years, and now sporting a drouge chute, more appropiate weathering, inner gear-well details along with a pretty cool afterburner from
Andy Low @ Electrodynamic. The most recent recognition came at the "2012 Horizon Air Meet" where the Top-Gun award was presented for a weekend of great perfomances with the mighty Draken!
Here are some late photo's to encourage you to finish up that one so that we may get them up in formation.
Frank

I got the electric hoists fro Harbor Freight. They cost about $100 and can lift about 400 pounds.
