Default New dxr8-e owner with plenty questions

As it states I'm a new buggy owner due to the tower heist lol, just couldn't let the deal pass me by, now I'm new to the electric world but so far I've decided on the mmm 2650kv combo, or the tekin 2650kv with the rx8, give opinions pls cause I'm still undecided, s9157 servo, and 4s Now initially the buggy will be for speed street runs etc aswell as track runs nothing serious or competitiveness I'd like to kno what pinion gear is ideal for speed, and your thoughts on the buggy aswell and also what upgrades are recommended out of the box thanks guys

I like Tekin, so that is my choice. I have a Savox servo, and it is EXTREMELY fast and has much torque. This one is cheaper and is probably very fast.www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/61_100_2167_2169/products_id/183314/n/Savox-SC-1256TG-Standard-Digital-High-Torque-Titanium-Gear-Servo

As anyone who reads my posts may know, I'm no fan of Castle.  Great motors, but their electronics suck.  I'd go with the Tekin.

How long have you been running that Savox servo?  My LHS guy won't even stock them.  He even had a Savox rep come out to ask him why they don't stock them.  He put one in his truck, drove it around for about ten minutes, and the servo went blooey.  Rep left with his tail between his legs.

Are you dead set an spending that much for a motor esc comb. This system with the 2400kv should provide almost the same results, and you have 6 pole torque rather than 4 pole like castle and tekin... Just a thought
