RE: NGH 38CC 4 stroke
Mr. Johannesen, thanks for your advice. I will try to make the beauty in picture for GF28cc future. current GF38 is just with simple exhaust header pipe, but I will make some new, just afraid vibrating will effect long pipe. so need your more professional suggestions. thank you. michael

Fired it up twice for a few seconds just to make sure it runs before taking it out to the field for break in.
It was quite difficult to prime the carb for the first time, and it did not want to draw fuel.
I had to cap off the vent line that is under the cam shaft, so a pressure pulse could reach the carb, to make it pump.
I also pressurized my tank, to push fuel into the carb.
But after that, it seems to draw fuel just fine, and I could remove the cap on the vent line.
It ran realy rough, but I expeced that since it has no run time on it.
Once, it kicked back, and loosened my prop nut, so it had to b re-tightned.
Running it in my 27% cap232 with out the wings on to dampen the vibration it brutal
It realy kicks hard at the moment, and shakes my airframe. Wings on next time.
Im quite sure I wil lhave to buy a muffler for it, as the sound level seems quite high......will have to see when I get it outside.........in the snow [:@]

Sonnich,
Your engine will get better with more time. Mine is running pretty good now that it has about 1.5 hours on it. This engine is a fuel miser, you can use a real small tank in the plane. Mine now will run about 30-45 min. on 6oz. at very fast idle and full throttle runs. It also runs much smoother on less oil in the fuel...28-1.
I'm thinking about getting a Saito 220/fg36 muffler to put on mine, it's a little too loud for our field with a straight pipe only.
Still haven't got an answer from Michael about parts yet. So far there doesn't seem to be very many of us running/flying these engines yet. There MIGHT be an issue with the aluminum header stress cracking at the flange.....just thinking.
Mark.

Mr.Mark, sorry for Late response. Parts supply for four stroke is very important, so it is most important for me consider parts supply smoothly. dealers will soon inventory parts, we ensure original made parts and very easy to get parts. so please contact dealer you bought from and send a request, dealers will service you No matter whether you bought from him. and let me know result please. thank you very much, michael

moreover, please pay attention. different prop and oil will get different output data on same engine. someone prefer smaller size prop to get bigger tension even use 16*8 Three-bladed propeller. we always use 20*8 wood prop, normal output is at about 6000rpm, If your engine speed far lower from 6000rpm, Please consider you use prop and oil, please use higher grade 100% complete synthesis oil. thanks

I was thinking that the ASP 1.80 four stroke engine's exhaust and or muffler would fit this engine. Both engines are, more or less, look a lot alike. At least the muffler itself might be useable.

RE: NGH 38CC 4 stroke
AMR, thats where I ordered my motor from last week. I still have not got it in the mail yet, but that is not AMR's fault. It has been sitting in New York for the last 5 days. Must be the Xmas rush in the mail room. But according to the mail tracking site, it is on its way to a local mail center.
I was thinking about the muffler set up also. I have a saito 2.20 four stroke, and I will see if the muffler can be fitted. And if it can fit, will it help the noise level. I will let you know.

Looking forward to hearing your results with mufflers.
The ASP/Magnum 180 muffler looks a bit restrictiv to me, as the outlet is fairly small.
One would have to weld a threaded pipe to a flange to bolt onto the side of the engine.
Installing a piece of silicone on the exhaust header, takes the sharp pitched noise a bit......but it is still loud.
