Evojet 140 VX
RPM issues with a 140. changde the turbine and all seems fine until original turbine is used which is only 6 months old. Anyway its also going back to Arno, going to be interesting what they find. Agents this side cannot find anything wrong and this is after a software upgrade as well, which was done during this whole process of elimination. They did find the front bearing was rough, so that was changed. Turbine gave 11 good starts then back to it same old sh"""t.....doesnt get full RPM. This morning first flight great full rpm...Second flight on the ground good during the flight would not spool up further than 50% Throttle. Landed , checked on the ground and the same max rpm 74000, every start. Agents came out to the field attached his laptop recorded some data for Arno. Change the pump, same issues. Back to the shop changed the turbine all good as new,,,,,,,very interesting. ECU gives no errors ....Anyway at least there is good product support here in SA Cape Town. Michael and Clinton have spent hsr trying to sort this.. So let' see what comes of this. This is the second Evo Jet I have owned, never had an issue.
gary
1. Started with shut down at 34000 rpm
2 .Then managed to get the turbine running but would not spool further than 70000 rpm, after various changes on the ECO.
3. Software upgrade done, still the same.
4. Front bearing changed. 11 good starts .
5. Today at the field first flight awesome, second would not spool up further than idle in flight. landed and call agent.
6. On the ground did some more testing , [pretty much the same rpm no further than 72000 with the occasional shut down at 34000.
7. Changed the pump still the same.
8 At the shop changed the turbine to another used 140 , all good motor sounded health good throttle response , back to normal.
9. battery voltage is good uses 4 cell LIFE
Think that's about all the info i have.....ECU gives no errors exccept a longer calibration time on throttle than normal and a ? mark next to throttle on ecu screen.

RE: Evojet 140 VX
Good day at the field today , no issues at all. I'm now convinced this is a turbine issue unless someone else has some other bright ideas. We only changed the motor everything else remained the same including the fuel.
