I've just ordered such tracks - its described that they are for the Heng Long or Tamiya Jagdpanther, but Ive checked and they DONT fit Tamiya sprocket wheels in my Tamiya Panther.

Asiatam are much higher quality, with open guide horns and proper cleats

Depending on how old your Tamiya Panther G kit is, ie. is it one of the first they released, then you may need to order a set of tracks that comes with the drive sprockets or order a set of Impact replacement drive sprockets. There was a known issue with the first Tamiya Panther G's released that the kit supplied drive sprockets didn't fit the tracks correctly. Impact was the first vendor to come out with a set of replacement tracks and drive sprockets to fix this issue. Other wise you will need to put a washer spacer between the two halves of your Tamiya supplied sprockets to see if that fixes the issue.

Thanks a lot for help
Is it mean that all Tamiya Panther sprockets have this problem - or it was corrected in the later Tamiya releases ?

Is it possible to recognize which Tamiya sprockets are "old" and which are "new" (item number?)

For example this set:

Drive Sprocket B (MJ2 x2) for Tamiya 56022 and 56024 1:16
http://www.axels-modellbau-shop.de/k...116::2953.html

Drive Sprocket A (MJ1 x2) for Tamiya 56022 and 56024 1:16
http://www.axels-modellbau-shop.de/k...116::2952.html

I have not used the Schumo parts, so I wouldn't want to comment on them. I will look at my Tamiya Panther G and see if it has part numbers for the sprockets and see what the kit number is as well. All I know is that it did have the issue with the drive sprockets and that I fixed the issue by using the Impact Sprockets and metal tracks. I did test the Impact Drive sprockets with the plastic tracks that came with the Tamiya kit and they worked as well.

Tamiya corrected the problem on later Panthers and Jagdpanthers. If you need the washers call or e-mail them they will send out the needed washers.

Don't know what's going on there, maybe you should try some different sprockets? If that doesn't help, and you don't want IMPACT tracks I would still go with [link=http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=&item=380537966260&pt=US_Character_Radio_Control_Toys&_osacat=2562&hash=item5899d48eb4&_ssn=manheader&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313&_nkw=tracks&_sacat=2562&_from=R40]manheader[/link] for my tracks. There isn't a Panther listing right now but I'm sure if you contacted Patrick, he will get you some.

But I have Tamiya gearbox - Asiatam sprocket is probably for HL shafts, not Tamiya?

Some aprox. dimensions for my black metal tracks and Tamiya sprocket

Any idae what make the tracks are??

I had a conversation with Phil @ RCTankwars quite a wile back and the Mato/HL KV-1 and Panther metal tracks don't work with Tamiya and Asiatam sprocket for the reasons you show above. The HL/Mato sprocket only fit HL/Mato tracks. Asiatam/ Tamiya sprockets will fit with Tamiya, Asiatam, Impact and Kenny Kong tracks.

That's why I asked who makes the tracks?

I to bought some tracks for my HL tiger some years back from Rctank.de . Also got the metal sprockets , but I never got that sorted.

this:

I now have a tamiya JP in the build and was wondering if I should try a set of tracks from Domeniq(rctank) once more. I quess the sprockets are the same on the tamiya JP and P ?

I've received informations from Dominique that those tracks from rctank.de was made by Taigen

PANTHER G WINTER METAL TRACKS late version UPGRADE KIT BLACK
http://www.rctank.de/product_info.ph...roducts_id=789

Asiatam don't produce tracks - they only take her name for tracks . The same is with Asiatam metal lower hulls for many tanks (Tiger , KV1). There are produced by Taigen.

I got second pair of metal Panther tracks - oficially marked as Matorro. Who is produced in fact - I dont know
Those tracks fits my Tamiya Panther sprocket wheels very well - some photos with aprox. dimensions in attachment.
