14SG 7-Channel System Type
The 14SG manual states that FAAST 7-channel System Type with the R617FS receiver (among others) is for use with indoor planes. Does this imply that the transmitter operates with reduced output in 7-channel mode or is ita mistake? Thanks.

RE: 14SG 7-Channel System Type
Good question, Malcolm. I will personally stick with my 8FGS. Ihave no need of telemetry or servo slow functionally.
And I will stay with Fasst any day over S-fhss.

We don't know why Futaba put the R617FS among the "indoor" list, unless it's because you must have the transmitter in 7-channel mode. The R617FS is a full-range receiver. The transmitter doesn't have a different output power when in the various transmission modes. The receivers are what determine the range.

RE: 14SG 7-Channel System Type
Thank you. I assumed that there was no difference in the power output of the various transmission modes but just wanted to confirm this before flying.
Unfortunately the manualsays that 7-channel mode is for use with indoor models. Clearly this is not exclusively the case.
