Saito FG-21 (1.26) 4-Stroke Gas Engine
I am wondering if anyone has used this engine ? the plane i have is a DH beaver weights are 7-11 lbs. its calls for a .91-1.20(2C) 1.10-1.40(4C) or a 20cc-or 30 cc gas engine i would like to go with 4 stroke ! like the FG-21 (1.26) 4-Stroke Gas Engine from saito ok the question is power with this engine will it have enough ?

I agree with w8ye...you will be fine with that plane. I have a FG-20 in a VQ 2.7 metre wingspan Pilatus Porter weighing 14 pounds (recommended 25-30cc 2-stroke petrol) and it is fine. You have to fly 'on the wing', as these type of planes are designed, but there is no shortage of power for take-off and loops etc once at altitude. It will cruise at about third throttle and easily fly for over an hour (plus multiple takes and landings) on a 500ML gas tank.
I think you have to finese the take-offs a little more, is about the only thing. You can't just WOT and hurdle into the air...you need 20 or 30 metres to get to a decent flight speed and ease up at a comfortable angle until at altitude and radical manouveres. I think the Beaver and Porter are VTOL style and you can take advantage of this in using a smaller and torquer 4-stroke engine.
