RE: JetCat P-90RXi details
I have owned 2 Flashes, flown thrm with Jetcat P-80, P-120 and P-160, If you dont have an engine for it get the P-160 or equivilant, its the best power to weight ratio.

RE: JetCat P-90RXi details
Lets get this straight.
Jetcat on there site has this listed at 105 Newton's which is 23.6 pounds. To be exact it is 23.604939.
It does not matter what you or any other person has tested it at. The engine can only be sold as an engine that produces 105 Newton's and that’s it.
Jetcat is a reputable company who tests there engines so if it did produce a constant 25 pounds I'm sure it would have been stated.
So please if you are going to do a review on an engine stick with what's on paper not what you think it puts out. Im sure Jetcat would have the most sophisticated equipment to check there turbines to get the most precise thrust reading out of there engines.
I should be having my one in two weeks so if anyone needs any details fire away then. Until then most specs are available on theJetcat site in Germany.
Anyone who wants the facts check out the web site and see for your self.
Thank you
Ivan

Ivan,
I'm replying because I noticed your post was a reply to something I said? Let me be clear:
1) I am not testing or reviewing the P-90
2) My posting on this thread was ribbing at a flying buddy who was acting impatient about the status of JCUSA website and then I was making fun of the typical dog chasing tail that happens in this forum with these types of things. (happening right now!)
3) It really doesn't matter to me if it puts out 23.6 lbs or 2.36 lbs, I think it is cool that they put that stuff under the cover and I'm interested to see how that plays out in the field.
4) Jetcat IS indeed a reputable company and DO have sophisticated equipment. When I said 25lbs originally, it was hearsay from another discussion. I apologize if that was offensive to you. (Looks like you and mtnitro are gonna have a beef though)
5) I am happy for you that you will have yours in two weeks, Congrats!
Cheers,
A non-purple friend

Well my theory is that if the engine did produce a constant 25 pounds then Jetcat would have said that it produces such thrust.
The figures are not adding up to me according to the manufacturers specs.

I never realized the filter is inside the turbine.
This is a big downer for this turbine.
What are you supposed to do pull the the turbine out to get to the rear cover every time you want to clean the filter.
Has anyone read the manual to see what the filter clean intervals should be. If its like all the other turbines this is a massive downer.
I guess one way around it is to install another filter on the outside to keep the one inside the cover as clean as possible which would mean less pulling apart.

My brothers girlfriends second cousins aunts best friends grandpa said it produced 250 pounds of thrust.......and kudos
To JC for getting that stuff under the cowl, looks like the items could be serviceable by the owner.

Either way looks awesome and cudos to JerCat. I ended up ordering a p100.

If you are referring to the P90 being advertised as a 90N you are wrong. Its advertised as 105 Newton's.
For those having problems understanding or wanting some real facts from the manufacturer here they are here

My assumption to your comment is that you have no idea who Bob Wilcox is. I suggest you look it up. He even suggested that 25lb thrust turbine should not have been advertized as 90N. It's possible that it could have been just that particular one when tested in specific conditions.
Either way looks awesome and cudos to JerCat. I ended up ordering a p100.

Yes sir, I know exactly who Bob Wilcox is, I also know you could take 10 of the EXACT same turbines under the exact same environmentally controlled conditions and all 10 will give you different thrust ratings. My comment was not meant to be taken literally. Weather this turbine makes 23.6 pounds of thrust or 25 doesn't matter. I'm just curious what jet cat guarantees for the thrust rating.

Agreed, and this is why it would be interesting to get some thrust numbers from different owners in different conditions.
