The shapes of the front windows are correct. They only look small because the outer frame on the model is painted. On the full size they are usually polished making the window look a bit bigger. Look closer to the frame in post #18. They even got the spacing of the HSTB-409 hi-shear fasteners correct. The vortex generators on the real one only extend up ¼†or so. Also there is not aileron trim tab on the right wing. I know all this because I am sitting in the hangar where they are made, and have been servicing the G550 since it entered service. Overall I am very impressed with the work you guys did.

Looks good Lowell. Lots of room to add detail. I think the main gear follow-up doors are a must as well as the nose follow-up. I am 100% convinced on the CP windows, I will wait for it to come out of completion, maybe the paint will be fix it needs. The faux T/R's are a nice touch and I often deploy them when taxing our 550 so it will look scale to do so on the model. Overall it is an excellent base model and it will give a guy a great platform to build a fine scale model, especially if he has the full size at his disposal for scale documentation. Has anyone posted a price yet?

Even though this is a G-IVSP, the cockpit windows and the cabin window spacing is the same on the G-550. The G-550 just has more of them. I hope to see these corrections, I would love to have a GulfStream of my own someday!

Me too. I worked on the 550 and 650 and would live to have one, just because.

I am sure he works at GAC Dallas, many people where pulled all over the Gulfstream network to work on it at the factory. Seeing the first one leave was a wonderful feeling. I work in the quality control department in Savannah, and I signed the logbook entering it into service.

Word on the street is #1 is suffering some "growing pains" but the owner is ultra picky about everything. She sure looks good rotating out....
Lowell, hats off to you and the FEJ team, it's about time we had an offering in the scale world that is not a F16 or some other overdone fighter jet. There are a buch of us molders that work Gulfstreams, Boeings, Airbus', Cessnas, and so on....I am sure commercial aircraft can find a solid home in the modeling world. I was glad to contribute to this project and it's good to see a final product! Looking forward to seeing yours fly, and maybe even see mine fly too!

The GS looks fantastic!
I am really interested in the big Hawk.....any test flight video out there?
It may be my first FEJ. I got a 200sx that could be available.
