Ok guys .I've  Been following this thread for a week or so and see so many people are interested/ talking and looking for the old EZ kits.  I have decided to sell my little EZ collection of about 10 years or so to maybe keep the juices flowing .These kits are all Nib. I Was collecting them to hopefully one day get to build and enjoy them.
I'm starting in on a business venture which is going to keep me from them for the next few years. Instead of letting them collect dust I figure best let them go to those ready and looking . I hope one day when im back looking and ready to fly again someone will do the same and let me have a chance like this. I know how special these kits are and hope they go to good homes. i know that some people like to grab them up and post them up on forums for people to drool. if your intention is to hoard them and stack them in a closet or corner of your hobby room please don't let's  give those actually wanting them to build and fly a chance to buy first. Let me know on your offers and ill get back to you when i can. Thanks
- EZ super star 25
- EZ super box fly 20
- EZ combat 20 (American type)
- EZ Reno Racer 25 (yellow)

Perhaps you need a .45 size Zero? [img][/img]
No thanks. I had the Dago Red, and it was a great flyer. But it was my first- and last- model with retracts. I spent more time messing with those things than I did flying it. I swore I'd never mess with retracts again; and I haven't.

And a Zero without retracts is just... wrong.

We have a petromat runway at our Iowa City club so retracts are much happier however I just cant justify keeping the Zero, too bad really its a beauty.

Our club lost our field and are currently searching for property. We are thinking of using Petromat but not sure where to purchase it. Also, how is it holding up?

Petromat is excellent. We have had to replace it once but it has been down like 7 years or something in the IOWA weather.
And we could have gotten more out of it but we wanted to fix the washout under the mat and would have had to tear it up anyway.
It gives a softer surface for errant landings than asphalt or concrete.

Hi all! Was there a F4U corsair 58" wingspan EZ Model brand? I bought a 2nd hand corsair but doesnt really know the brand.  It's really close to CMP corsair.  But some markings dont match.  The style and the structure is pretty much signature of EZ Models.:

No, There was never a Corsair produced by EZ/OK model company. I don't think there was a built up kit produced by Pilot either. Does your model have the foamboard covering over a liteply frame? I think Great Planes had a Corsair arf several years back that was built like the EZ models. Do you have any pics you can post?

That's the Great Planes ARF. Only ones who made one of the EZ type construction.

Wow, neat thread. I stumbled upon this doing a bing search for EZ models to look at pics.
Here is an 25 size Extra 230 of mine. I have another one disassembled and packed away some where. The SupraFly 25 was the kit build version made by OK models and to this day, it the best quality kit I have ever built including a BVM kit. Both of these planes still fly regularly and I just upgraded the Suprafly with electric retracts to replace the mechanical ones. I have a fixed gear version also packed away.
I had a blue Reno racer that was a rocket back in the 90's with an O.S 32. I wish I had not sold it. The only complaint was unlike the Extra and Suprafly, it had a very thin ABS cowling that was brittle. I also had a SupraFly 45 with an OS 61p that i regret selling.
These ARF's were not cheap but i wish they were still available and I regret that i couldnt afford more of them at the time. The text in the instructions was often quite comical. "with enough high you can do knife edge roop" for example.

Hello!

I have to RC Univ. You have seen the first one before short EZ Supra Star 60 ready built. I'm looking for this model! Where did you get the kit yet?, You would sell the model?, I would be very happy if you could help me as I am a very big fan of Hanno Prettner.
Please send me an email reply to my email thomas.schmidt @ gmx.at
under the Subject Supra Star 60, because otherwise I can not see well the answer.
I'm waiting for an early reply,

Regards, Thomas

Hey Guys

I have started to thin my model collection big time. Right now I'm into animal rescue big time. It's expensive and well I guess a lot of my old models will have to go. I hate to part with the EZs but if it helps the animals so be it. I listed a EZ Sportsman Gaia on ebay just now. The listing number is 161245169384. The model is in MINT shape, even the exterior box.

Its only the first EZ I'm going to let go. Many more will follow. Please watch my auctions if your interested.

Thanks and God Bless!

I've owned three EZ Mustangs. The first one was the Military D model with the Blue trim. I had only been flying for a few months (1990?). It flew fantastic until I tried some snap rolls at full power. I spun that into the ground do to inexperience on the 2'nd flight.

A year or so later I picked up a Dallas Doll. I spent months making a remote sliding canopy, retractable inner gear doors etc. i lost that on the third flight when I accidentally hit the "snap-roll" switch just after lift off. RIP <sniff sniff>

Fast forward to 2001 and I picked up the Chrome\Olive Mustang 45. I powered mine with a Saito 82 with an 11\11 prop. Original Supra retracts from 1990. Man did that little 'Stang move out. I'm guessing something a bit more than 100mph. Sometimes it was hard to see the orientation in bright sunlight due to the chrome covering.

I last flew it in 2010, but it could probably be made airworthy again. The tail section de-laminated due to being fuel soaked and the cowl is cracked in several places..

I can say they have a fairly high wing loading, but an honest flying plane never the less. I had no tip-stall issues at all, but when it quit flying, it quit flying immediately.

I loved reminiscing on those EZ's from 20+ years ago, especially the old advertizements. Thanks!

I still have most of the Cristen Eagle but have to make a cowl and canopy for it. One of those "to do" jobs.

Yeh I loved the EZ's. I had a lot of them. Citabria, laser 200( bud light and blue)actually had several of those. The fighters( they resembled a stik and had 3 versions) and quite a few others. Now days I buy and sell them more as a collectable thing. I had the PT-19,Foka Wulf. I think my favorite was the F-16. I never pulled it out of the box. It was the gem of my collection. I have since thinned out my kit collection. Had over 60 at one time ( Royal,Byron,EZ,Midwest, ) and lots of other rare birds. But I sold most of them off, regret it now. But I'm back into flying again. Right now working on a Top a Flite Cessna 182,with a Nosen Big a Stik waiting. Headed to Joe Nall fly in next month, havin fun again in what always will be a lifetime hobby. Have a great day.

Is anyone still following this thread? I just purchased a EZ Bellanca Decathlon. It is NIB minus the instructions. Does anyone know where I could get a copy or give me the CG location?
Thank you

Grates on a new EZ!!

Most EZ ARF's had the CG marked with an arrow on the fuse sides just under the wing so look for that.

I tried a Google search and only found old posts with a few for sale...

Good luck!
