Default Different tx/rx for traxxas rally..

Is anybody on here using a different tx/rx for there traxxas rally? Sold my 2.4ghz tx/rx thinking my futaba tx/rx would work but it's just not compatible with my 3pmx 2.4 radio w/603ff rx. I was referred to hobby king to get the gt3 but i'm not sure if it will work .Don't wanna got thru the hastle of waiting just to get let down. Thank's Twerpa

why isn't it compatible?


also yes the flysky 2.4ghz GT3b (what you are referring to as hobby king GT3b) will work with traxxas ESC's, and servos(only bring this up cause the original GT3 wouldn't work right with traxxas servos)

only issue I found with the radio is its pretty power hungry(no where near as bad as the original). But if you know how to solder there is a guide on how to make it pull like 40% less power(someone who did it said it on another forum) by replacing the voltage regulator(part costs like $7) with no drop in quality. Its not a needed mod as I've owned my radio like 2 years without doing it, it just makes it use a bit less power.

There's also another mod that allows you to give it more steering trim, but it requires a bit more knowledge to do(I really gotta get around to ordering the parts to try it).
