In a bind on new RC
So I have decided on a short course that I really like, The Associated SC10 ProLite 4x4. But I also found a nice buggy for about the same price that is really cool too, the Kyosho DBX VE 2.0 4x4 buggy, but I don't know much about the buggy. I am only a basher, not a racer. Iwould be running 2s in the SC and 3s in the buggy. Comparing them, which would be more durable, faster top end, quicker off the line, and handle grass/dirt/small rocks/pavement better. These are the only two I am stuck between. Also, if you have any good infor on the Kyosho, that would be greatly appreciated, i.e. parts support, speed, quality of motor/esc

Other than the fact that full-fendered vehicles are always going to tend to be more durable being as the wheels aren't exposed -
my advice would be to use your Search Engine and scroll around the 'Net and read some reviews, educate yourself.
Otherwise, local "parts support" is always going to be a bit lacking for any Kyosho vehicle as they're not as widely distributed as the "Big-3" - but that's something you won't know for sure unless, again, you do some research .... as in checking your local hobby shop.

The DBX looks solid, and Kyosho has a good reputation. As far as parts support, if you don't mind online, amainhobbies seems to carry a plethora of Kyosho DBX parts, so that might not be a concern.
If you run 3s in the buggy, I'm guessing it will be faster than 2s in the SC - just a guess.
As far as terrain goes, it's about ground clearance - if you can find out the clearance of the DBX vs. the AE SC, that will tell you a lot. The DBX is a "bigger" buggy I think, so it's likely better on ground clearance than a 1/10 buggy, but I can't be sure.
I'm sure you'd be quite happy with either though!

I also think the buggy would be much more stable in the air and on the ground and be able to take more bump and abuse. and on 3s, I think it wouuld rip. I also saw the Ofna Lx2e rtr. Is that better than the Kyosho? I was looking at the ofna kit at one point, but with everything, it was way out of my price range.
