RE: ESM or ECOM RC new plane opinions
The Mossy got my vote especially after the maiden of the full size Mossy in New Zealand.
Some say there is no market for twins of that size... I disagree so my second votes goes to a He111.

A lot of votes in there and the Mosquito is still holding the lead! I've put a deadline on the poll so get your votes in by the end of January and we'll see where we're at!

my vote is for a 30cc-to 50cc SB2C-Helldiver...Never have seen a kit for the Helldiver...The 'Beast" should get kitted by some one..Nick name for it was "Son Of a B-tch, 2nd class" it does need some consecration..........Just my 2 cents worth..........

RE: ESM or ECOM RC new plane opinions
Well it looks like the DH 98 Mosquito of approx 100" span won this round. I'm sharing this list with ESM. I'm also going to approach them with the idea of maybe picking 3 from this list to have your guys vote on. The winner of that vote out of the three would then be manufactured by them.
It would definitely be cool to have you guys get hear by ESM rather than us/them just coming up with ideas!
Thanks for everyone who voted, I'll keep everyone informed with word from ESM about what they're going to do in the future when I get it!

I would like to thank you very much for giving us the opportunity to voice our opinions on what we would like to see go to production. A lot of these types of threads end up with quite a few obscure airframes, some of which I've never HEARD of, and end up being a waste of time and bloviation. In this modelers opinion, you have a good, reasonablelist to submit and I am excited to see what comes from it.
Please be sure to send the RC Universe model community's appreciation and thanks for some really great airplanes, many of which other companies simply don't have the guts to bring to production and market to us. We not only appreciate the deep line up in airframe types, but improvements in design and reliability of components and accessories.
Aside from new airframes, please also encourage better written manuals with clear information, photos and details. (Refer to Horizon Hobbies' ARF manuals, some of thebest out there) Also, from my reading here, it's VERY important to have all ESM accessories available whenthe plane comes to market. Spinners or gearthatare released weeks and months after the airframe, to a lot of modelers, can bea complete deal breaker!
Best of luck to you and ESM on their current and upcomingproduction!

RE: ESM or ECOM RC new plane opinions
Thank you Bryan! I missed your post before!
No news yet, I've submitted this thread and the list to them entirely. It seems they are working on what irons they have in the fire now before attempting anything new. It is possible they have more things in the works and haven't relayed it to me yet. Any info I receive back from them will be put in this thread.
One update I have is the new Zero will be more than 80", check the new specs here:
Wing Span: 87.8" (2230 mm)
Length: 69" (1760 mm)
Wing area: 8.3sq. ft (72.2 sq dm)
Wing Loading: 36 oz/sq. ft (110 g/sq. dm)
Flying Weight: 18.7 lbs (8.5 kg)
Radio: 6ch & 7 servos
Engine: 30cc-50cc gasoline engine
ORIGINAL: warbirdfan2
Any news from ESM about narrowing down this list and running another poll? Is there an update on the 88'' P51 and 93'' P38?

RE: ESM or ECOM RC new plane opinions
Interesting the Mossie took so many votes. Good airplane. The next two in line for votes...50cc Bearcat and 50cc Hellcat......I myself would have zero interest in the Bearcat and probably 5% interest in the Hellcat. The 4th in line was the giant size HE-111. Id buy that one in a heartbeat. No one makes one. It would be the perfect plane to counter all the B-25s you see at fields everywhere.

RE: ESM or ECOM RC new plane opinions
If it is a DH mossie it must have removable wings outboard of the engine nacells and should be electric for sure as there are great sound boards out there that would give you the real purr of a pair of merlins.... couldn't be beat. 100 inch wingspan a little on the big side so I have to go with something in the 82-86 inch size. Am currently doing a major rework on a new CMP 73 inch DH mossie and what a pain. For an arf would be prepared to pay more for something done right.

RE: ESM or ECOM RC new plane opinions
Greetings from Finland
I dug this old thread out. Just did not want start new one.
I think it is kind of wonder that there is no Russian IL2/IL10 Stormovik family models available. 35000 originals built and had huge effect on result of WW II. With big wing it should be excellent flyer.
Even bigger wonder is that there is no F4F Wildcat ARF available. Should interest American pilots. Yes I know that landing gear is difficult. But I think that it would be possible to make some kind of simplified version. That plane hade many different colour schemes and it did fight with honour also for FAA.
