RE: Traxxas Summit
Awesome! we didn't do any unboxing pics at the time. Wish we did now. Liking the Blue/Black combination too. It goes well with the seals and anodized parts. Now go play, +1 on breaking her in proper too
Once you power her on, listen for any buzzing, I'm sure if you have read through Summit and Revo forums you've heard of making sure the steering servos are aligned and not fighting. Also, with the body off, shift the transmission from high to low and back. Watch the servo pull and push the pin in and out of the transmission. You can also unlock and lock the diffs. I'm sur this is a little boring, but you are accomplishing several things.
1. You are familiarizing yourself with the proper functions and their movement.
2. If something's not quite right, better to find and adjust now before a servo goes south.
3. You can ooh and ahh at all the cool features that you could only read about before

RE: Traxxas Summit
It funny cause it the first couple pice you can tell I was excited cause their all blurry my hand were a little shaky lol.
Well I had my maiden drive last night and this thing impressed the hell out of me I was able to climb over some pretty large rocks around the apartment and the lights are really bright and functional. I'm still memorized by the size of this thing. I knew it was big but damn. I can't wait to get up in the woods

Help me out folks. I ran my Beast of a Summit at the park last night and hit up some ice puddles that I broke through and drive the summit around in. Probably as deep as the hood of the truck and the MOTOR DIED! Whats up with that? I thought this baby was waterproof? Maybe I need to Corrosion X it? Ideas? Thoughts?

Hmm that is what I thought too....I'm on my second Titan also, first one was just used a long time. I installed the new one maybe 6 months ago but only ran it maybe 20 times. It died in the middle of a puddle and the motor smelled burnt as heck, steering was still responsive but no go on the Titan. I've already bought a new Titan motor but i'm a bit wporried why it died in that puddle. I'm running Turnigy 2S lipos, same one;s i've been running in it since the first motor a while back.

Unhook the steering arms just leave the servo horns on. Turn the truck on and center the steering on the controller. Then u will have to adjust the little links that connect them. They have that little nut in the middle u will see it. Just get everything nice and square as far as the servo saver goes. Then adjust the turnbuckles till the tires r str8.

RE: Traxxas Summit
I smell an RPM replacement part coming along
So far that's the only original part that has broken on mine too! Iwent to fleabay and got an RPM Revo bumper mount so Icould lower the body a little more without haggling the front of it for clearance.
I did pretty much destroy a revo wheelie bar, totally my fault.

RE: Traxxas Summit
Thanks for the video link and other tips on adjusting my servos guy I think I have it about as good as I can I'm not getting any buzzing accept here and there but I touch the throttle or steering and the buzzing will stop. I'd like to get it more dialed in as my trim is to the left a bit but not enough to bug me... Yet.
First run today I busted the rear bumper mount as well must have just been in the air lol. I will go pick up the RPM tomorrow and say no mor to that problem lol all in all I was very impressed with the way this thing just soaks up landings and bumps. I was playing in the canal behind the shop and this thing climbed the side of it no problems at all I even tried stoping on it then going u and thats when I heard the summit laugh for the first time. Part of the canal was iced over I had the summit driving across it and this pig decided to fall through I hit the throttle and it just continued to break the ice and find dry land like nothing ever happened. This is such a fun truck I can't wait to push its limits here on out.

RE: Traxxas Summit
What springs do you guys use? I'd like to have a little more stiffness so it doesnt bottom out so badly when I land. If I just tighten the coil overs would that be enough you think or will that put too much pressure on the shock caps and potentionaly break a seal?
